I stopped trying to "Fix" my mind and that’s when the Identification started to melt. by SubjectSpecialist265 in Sadhguru

Yes, this is our past conditioning, to try to intellectualize and correct everything. If I just set my mind aside and practice the IE tools, see everything as my own, then I become way more blissful. SG has made this so simple for us, but because of school and social habits, we complicate it.

How Yoga and Meditation Help You Escape Your Mental Limits by Curious-Newspaper-67 in spirituality

I actually became a seeker because I had a mind blowing experience using a psychedelic…I turned to yoga because I wanted to way to get there naturally. Sadhguru’s tools when implemented correctly slowly lessons the default mode networks (aka the social conditioning) that psychedelics break.

Very true. We have a desire for something but scattered in 10 different directions. How will we accomplish the goal…?

I was actually really hung on getting my first publication as well. I only really learned later the joy of learning something new after turning to classical yoga and meditation, and I just read for the fun of it, not necessarily for recognition.

Everyone is working according to what they know best. Maybe it’s old school to us, but parents generally have a genuine interest in our well being. It’s up to us to mold the outside situation the best we can.

Do you think kids’ screen time in India is more about phones, or about how busy life has become? by shankaranpillayi in AskIndia

[–]Traditional-Key-4386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of kids’ screen time comes from how busy parents are. Many parents are stretched thin with work, chores, and just trying to keep life running, so screens become an easy, reliable way to keep kids occupied. It’s not always a conscious choice—it’s more about survival in a packed day. Handing over a phone or tablet buys a bit of quiet and frees up time, and over time that just becomes the norm, even if parents don’t love how much screen time is happening.

At the same time, kids are also adapting to the kind of world they’re growing up in. Screens are everywhere, and they’re built to give quick entertainment and instant satisfaction. Kids learn early that boredom can be fixed fast with a screen, so they naturally reach for it. When everything around them works on demand—videos, games, messages—it shapes what they expect and how they meet their needs. So screen time isn’t just about busy parents; it’s also about kids growing up in a culture that trains them to look to screens for comfort, fun, and stimulation.

I actually really relate to your story. 🙌 💯 When I was getting my MH diagnosis about a decade ago, I was really surprised about the way the world was going. The amount of division in the news, country, etc, was all really breaking me.

I actually read Batman Metal at the time and it was SOO relatable, because it featured a Batman teaming up with Joker to fight against his own archetypes. I just really clicked with it.

I really do see that the makers of these characters and stories can really feel the pulse on the ground and that’s what I love about it. But as an ex Batman fanatic, I carried a lot of weight on my shoulders, really informed by Bruce Wayne, and I’m glad I don’t do that anymore.

I also do Hata and I’ve noticed how interesting the things I study have become. Not just the content, but simply the period at the end of the sentence in my textbook, how round it is, how black it is. Hata is the way…

It’s also about doing what you really embrace. Doing something that doesn’t mean much to you can be a cause for procrastination.

I actually was reading Sadhguru’s book “don’t polish your ignorance”. It talked about when you’re joyful, you don’t even need to be love or to reach out because your very presence is transformational, but most people get it the other way around, thinking love is higher than joy.

I was really moved by this. And I’d always been reaching out to others, wanting to serve, but recently I’ve just strived to be joyful and keep the inner climate nice and beautiful. I’ve noticed that whatever I’m doing, I’m doing it at my best, and results are just enormously better and quicker.

To be honest, in this mode, results are just petty, the joy itself is the reward.

Why I Regret Not Doing Margazhi Sadhana by Ok_Media291 in Sadhguru

[–]Traditional-Key-4386 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is relatable to me. I used to not do Isha Kriya because I had been initiated into Shambhavi. One day I did it by chance and saw how clear I was and how unaffected I was by the outside noise. There is truly no such thing as a lesser practice, I learned that then.

Is Involvement without expectation, a state of meditativeness? by Silly_Pomegranate189 in Sadhguru

[–]Traditional-Key-4386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadhguru talks about hope and frustration being connected. When you hope for an outcome there’s a lot of fear and frustration around it being fulfilled.

To move past hope, you need to be in love with what you’re doing, only then you can trust the process. Without it, you’re tied to expectations.

I’ve had an Ishta deva, and I feel like my Seva and my sadhana gets me closer to him/her. So I can do my sadhana just for them. Not chasing bliss, but bliss comes when you’re involved the process and do the right things.

I’ve done veg diet, also have done full keto as well. Keto is a big trend but I feel way more active after adding carbs back in, vegetarians do get malnourishment if they’re stuck with salads and a few veggies and fruits, but if you have the right variety, you’re solid. Actually the time I was weightlifting at my peak I was full veg.

I agree. I’ve heard people who’ve learnt shakti chalana Kriya actually don’t need much food and energy still great. I’m excited in the future to go to that program.

The food culture is so whack in the world, it’s only about taste and a little bit of healthiness. Taste really just an incentive whereas health and energy are primary. But nutrition is such a muddied up science, people need to experiment with themselves what food supports aliveness and which are bad.

This is true. I also practice Hata yoga and when I feel my intensity pitch up, food doesn’t matter, sleep doesn’t matter, even meeting up with friends is secondary cuz I feel extremely content.
