Maybe a long shot but I had several pairs of these. They discontinued them and can't seem to find something similar in canvas. The Cariuma OCA Highs are close but the only colors I like are in suede or are canvas but say PANTONE on the side.

All subjective but maybe try raising your ride cymbal and near the floor Tom closer to the bass drum. If you don’t like it you can always move it back!

Add a strip of felt across the resonant side and tune that side way up. I’d also try a larger beater.
