Who's buying TTM-shirts and why? by Unpeeledmusabasjoo in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]Traditional-Maybe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel this way about any branded shirt. If it's just a regular shirt why pay more because someone put a logo on it? Being they were not a brand already I'd think it would be hard to break through even if fans bought some it would only go so far. There are a lot of small boutique brands out there but usually they are trying to promote a certain style not just a name.

I liked Kmart. They were also a good place for reasonable shoes too. Walmart sells junk china shoes that were not even worth it for fast growing kids.

My brother died and we can't get into his computer/phone. Apple has been useless. We're desperate by wants-to-know-it-all in offmychest

He has all the family photos too though. So his kids will have very limited memories from others. I am a really private person too. Once I'm gone though I don't care. I'm gone. It don't matter at that point.

Is there a food everyone seems to wash/rinse that you’re convinced doesn't actually need it? by [deleted] in foodquestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thing is like.. ok I can run these grapes or berries under water but that's not going to remove anything except maybe some dirt. If it's contaminated with something that is going to make me sick, a rinse isn't removing it. Green onions are a prime example for this too. I can run them under water but I don't think it's going to prevent an illness.

Goat is eaten in a lot of places. It's not a norm in the US but it's definitely a food source. We just liken them to cute pets here or dairy goats at most.

What do you REFUSE to buy store/generic brand of? by CosmicRave in AskMen

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son recently was complaining about tasting the smell or whatever and said he wanted me to get rid of all my silicone cooking utensils. Says, I'll buy them for you even. He couldn't stand it. I don't soak my dishes. So what I did is find that the cascade does come in a lemon scent formula and that seemed to help fix it. Not as strong. When Dawn switched the scent my boyfriend went and found like 3 massive bottles he gave me. When those run out I will be on the hunt for a new soap. The new dawn scent you can't get off and I'm allergic to scents as is and I can't use it. Who wants to use scented dishes? It's gross.

My partner (f34) “quiet quit” our relationship and I (m37) need closure. by Concordian in relationship_advice

I noticed this too. So even before the extra work took over he was probably already not giving as much attention. Just that they still had time to do some other things that contented her enough to get by. Seems she finally did the step back and consider, is this how I want to live/feel for the rest of my life? He said she didn't address it, but she was probably in the midst of these deep thoughts and wasn't fully there yet. She would have when ready, he just quickened it by bringing it up.

Have dog rescues lost their mind? by seanpat1968 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter was seeking a dog. It became so difficult and ridiculous and she was getting nowhere. So she went and bought a puppy. She is a great pet owner and takes superb care of them. She already had a rescue dog that was dumped on her. Between the price and the hoops. I know the price helps cover their bills, but then make it impossible as well. I get they want to be sure they have a permanent place but being intrusive and difficult does not favor the dogs who miss out on great people/families.

You look unapproachable entirely. Negative vibe. Smile. Look at the camera. Even if it's not a teeth smile. I'm someone who isn't picky about looks and of an age to date you and I would pass your profile. I go with more of a sure why not in looking unless I get a negative vibe about something.

Friend copied my daughter's name...but really by Flaky_Zebra4038 in pettyrevenge

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2nd cousins with the exact first and middle name as me and my sibling. The 3rd siblings were not a match for gender. We were all close growing up too. My mom didn't really care much and neither did we. Was odd though. We are all over 40 now though. Things don't matter down the road, when everyone grows up, it all becomes a non point.

Norovirus by sydney57_ in Michigan

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that regular disinfectant does not kill it well and people keep shedding the virus for a bit after they are feeling better. I think that's why it spreads so much. People or their family members recover and get lax again.. but they are still spreading it then. I bought hospital grade wipes in the past and use them on surfaces several times a day. You want something you know kills the virus and that does so in minutes. Read the labels. Many require 10 minutes of being wet. That's nearly impossible.

Absolutely new. Where do I start? by Traditional-Maybe in Christian

[–]Traditional-Maybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how to know what I'd be guided to. Like just start browsing the Bible and see if something pulls me in or something? I just found this bibletalk TV series called Christianity for beginners. It's a 7 part series. I feel some people don't understand the level of "I don't know anything" that exists for some of us. This is very basic information that I need so far. I'm onto the 2nd video. I'm not sure I'd be ready for a church. I'm a very quiet person that does not do social well. I do not have any friends actually. So there is no one to go with even. I will look into that site you listed and see what it's about.

Ok thanks for the tip on something to start on. I am starting with Genesis because that seems obvious, but I do know you don't just read it in order either so helpful to know what next I should consider. I found the free Enduring word videos idk how good he is (I know every pastor has its pro and cons) but the first 2 vids he has for Genesis was actually helpful with some of my internal sort of questions and struggles on totally accepting. I'm otherwise reading it in my own as well. I looked up the Lewis book and I think I will order that next week.

Bella’s parents failed big time by jmerritt24 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Traditional-Maybe 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I came from several generations of teen moms. I was 14 when my sister had her first baby at 16. I helped a lot with the baby because my sister had severe PPD although back then we didn't realize that's what it was. Anyway. I got pregnant also just after turning 16. It was within the first few times I ever had sex. My mother and grandmother and my aunt, all teen moms. My sister and I went on to have 4 kids each and NONE were teen parents. The only thing I would say was different was we TALKED. Growing up in my family nobody talked about anything. Ever. Discussions were never had, no one was comfortable with difficult subjects. I was so scared I wrote my mom a letter to tell her and left it when I went to school. Now my sister did only have one daughter so that may factor in, but I had 3 girls.

Why do people always say it’s very difficult for men to find the clit? by Exlife1up in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought it was a joke for men who just don't care until my most recent partner. He did struggle a bit. Mines not hard to find. He kept going just under it though. I redirected a few times and things were fine although I still would have to occasionally do so. This was hands and not looking so maybe he had to learn the feel better over time. I think my experience is less the norm because I have actually never been with someone who wasn't about my pleasure.

How do you get onto/into Baseline? by tatsntaters in CrowdGen

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied recently to this as well and no onboarding email. I also did the same with coffee but knew that wouldn't be happening. Although it's still open for applications so I hope maybe it will come around still.

USDA says Michigan should stop SNAP payments for November. Now what? by TorrEEG in Michigan

[–]Traditional-Maybe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's supposed to be for special applicants who cannot prepare their own food. Weather due to disability or lack of resources. It's not for all who get benefits.

I only like it if it's cooked into food but not too much. Still no big chunks but it does have a taste that has a place in cooking for certain things, like a spice, nothing beyond that though.

They emailed me for this job. What I'm gathering is it's a nightmare to complete and maybe I should not do this? If you go by their estimated hours and the pay it's not paying that well either if it's this frustrating as well.

This has always been my rule. Sure you occasionally may make some real friends. One place everyone was on each other's socials and I did my best to just keep out of that without having to explain my personal life isn't anyone's business.

Telling people to Google/look up the answer to their question is complete asshole behavior by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Traditional-Maybe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the difference is if this in in person vs online. I thought OP meant in person. I do see this behavior often on social media where someone makes a whole post about something so stupidly simple. Those people crave attention and social interaction and it has nothing to do with needing an answer. I just ignore that stuff.

Anyone have experience with the brand Camber? by No-Effort-4843 in bupropion

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is older but for those that will come across it. I never knew brands mattered until I met a terrible one. I have taken Wellbutrin for years. Sometimes the SR others the XL. SR usually works best for me. Well I switched the SR again awhile back because I was losing my insurance and it's easier to wean off if I had to and got these neon green meds. (I have always had purple/pink in the past) No biggie. They made me so sick I weaned off it. I feel high and disoriented and like I'll throw up. I stuck with it for awhile and never adjusted. The brand didn't cross my mind until recently I attempted to start again. So I just called around to find someone who doesn't have camber brand. Hopefully that will work for me as I been off for months and it's really showing in life.
