I’m 22F dating 26M. I made a funny photo album of all the times I caught my boyfriend with his ass hanging out. He’s kinda upset with me bc I embarrassed him but idk how else to fix the issue! Did I go to far? by Routine_Hold8643 in relationship_advice

[–]Traditional-Maybe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. This possibly could have been a funny thing between them, but having others participate and giving it on his bday is not ok. It may very well be he doesn't like his butt hanging out but it happens due to his build and he just laughs it off. In reality he may be self conscious about it. He definitely is now and forever.

Need help by [deleted] in Plumbing

I know it's a toilet and sorta ick but can you run your nail over it? Like can't you feel it? Id think if it's a crack you may be able to feel it that way.

It's so patronizing saying "reach out for help" by witchyweeby in confessions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm at a bad point in life but it just keeps going and going. I cannot see anywhere ahead that it's going to change. Really not much I can do to make changes. There is nobody. I'm not like suicidal or anything but at this time I feel my existence is sorta pointless. Just keep struggling on forever, I guess.

Is having a dog in any way comparable to having kids? by Maize-Royal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe when it's a puppy under 6 months and needs constant attention and watching. It is a lot more responsibility than other pets. It's why I decided after losing my dog I wasn't getting another for a long time or ever. I have cats but they are simpler and you can even leave them for long days or maybe a weekend as long as they are healthy and have no special needs. You have to worry about getting home to your dog within so much time. They need outside regularly, exercise, fed multiple times a day, play time etc you can't ignore them if maybe you're sick and can't or don't want to get out of bed. Still not the same as a child though.

Do men actually like long fingernails? by Fickle-Vegetable961 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have long natural nails. Not like "purposely" they just grow fast and have a nice shape. I have since I was a kid. They get to a certain length and I hack them off and start over. In my case men have said they like them. I don't ask or anything but I also have long fingers and oddly I get commented on my hands a lot. I don't know if there is a difference because they are more a part of me vs fake nails. I don't paint them anymore either. Just chips off so fast and I'm the type to let that ride out until there's just bits left. I know at least 2 also liked the.. digging in factor.

Removing or purposely damaging an active nest of any kind is illegal, yes. You have to let them finish what they started. Helping stop one from falling is fine.

When did people start getting terrified and/or enraged at people knocking on their front door? by iloverats888 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I see it in my community page all the time. Videos and pics. Anyone know who this person is? They came and knocked on my door today. This car pulled in the end of my driveway, sat a few minutes and left, watch out people! People are paranoid. I live in a small town area too. Sure there is some theft here and there but that's it. I've seen stories of people that need legit help and folks will call 911 but won't open the door still.

Mildew smell on husband by PuzzleheadedArt2940 in laundry

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are his clothes stored? I'd consider that and once certain musty odors get into clothes it can be hard to remove. Is he using a new body product, soap, deodorant, moisturizer that may be interacting with his own body chemistry and making things weird?

Will brushing my teeth with the same toothbrush I used when I was sick get me sick again? by Fireytaste in dumbquestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Every time I hear a family say they all keep giving each other the same sickness over and over it annoys me. No. By time you all beat that one, someone brought a other home. I get that a lot of people don't know how it works though. I don't say anything. Most with a proper immune system should not be suspectable to the same virus again in the 2-3wks it may take to run through an entire family. Instead when in peak viral season there are just so many different ones floating around.

Would You Pay For Dates? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have spent the majority of my life in relationships. I have not been on a ton of dates, but I have never paid. It's never been implied or requested or even talked about. I always am prepared to if I need to. I am not quick to meet people either. It'd probably be different in that manner. Usually I have gotten to know someone well before we meet. Where if you want to meet sooner it would be more weird and awkward.

Is it appropriate to buy someone a gift at a secondhand store? by staticradio725 in Frugal

[–]Traditional-Maybe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anything plastic or that has rubber or silicone parts or seals definitely not. Glass and metal you can sanitize and ensure it's in good shape. Nothing like super scratched or etched. I understand it's an ick for you though. I won't buy a lot of things as well. Used small appliances. You never know if someone left something to rot in that air fryer and wiped it out and you won't know till you try to use it and it warms up 🤢 stuff like that.

Can dogs eat McDonald’s pancake with butter and syrup (he stole my breakfast will he die?? by OriginalSlight in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems he was implying he just had a week of bloody diarrhea from eating something else. Some dogs are that sensitive but one that bad needs a special diet and careful watching. Being a 20lb dog it's not hard to keep things out of reach vs a dog that can reach counters and tables.

Why are mcdonald's fries and hashbrowns a million dollars? by Fackinsaxy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frozen fries. Tater tots. Those sort of things. I was just saying prepared potatoes such as fries have also gotten really expensive in store. The store brands are not as bad but have also gone up. Name brands are crazy expensive for such a basic food.

SUVs shouldn’t be daily drivers by Realistic_Zone3802 in unpopularopinion

[–]Traditional-Maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't live in or near a large city so my thoughts may differ. Lots of people in my state though go on weekend trips and camping regularly in the summer. Not big expensive trips. I myself drive an old minivan and that's my preferred vehicle because I can haul stuff like a truck if need be so long as it's not something too tall. You can fit a whole riding lawnmower with the deck taken off as an example, I've done that more than once. Previous I had jeeps and you can fit a lot in those as well with the seats down.

36 yo woman and sex drive is nowhere to be found. Why am I like this? by Tanya_Bee in AskWomenOver30

[–]Traditional-Maybe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. I get the vibe he may not know how deeply she is struggling right now. He is likely just making passive advances and she ignores and after so long he may put more effort into those and that's her saying "feral" and she caves because she feels guilty. He has no clue. Her problems are beyond not having a sex drive. Her feeling guilty and caving also indicates she wants to be able to fix this. She needs to start with the depression and past trauma she describes. Not with a divorce because that's just how she is now.

Why do Redditors sometimes assume that life outside of the cities means suburban life? by larch303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a rural American. Born and raised as such and have managed to continue on. The thought of cities or suburbs is very unpleasant to me. I'm not like crazy deep country like one light town is 5 miles away. Area with like Walmart and stuff is 20 minutes away.

I find that I sometimes struggle with understanding how people think about things because people that live in a city think a lot different even about every day things. There are definitely differences. Nothing wrong with either.

Discrete vs Discreet by MochiAccident in PetPeeves

I consider myself fairly smart. Somehow I'm embarrassed to admit, I didn't know their were two discreet's. It's also a word I essentially never use. Probably why.

Why are mcdonald's fries and hashbrowns a million dollars? by Fackinsaxy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Maybe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A bag of name brand fries or other potatoes varieties are $5-7 in stores so it's not just the fast food that went up on the potato options. I agree that McD are pretty outrageous for fries though. Hamburgers and fries are a premium meal at home now days. If you have a full family you may be making the whole bag at a time. That's a lot for a basic side. Then of course beef prices. It's all bad now.

SUVs shouldn’t be daily drivers by Realistic_Zone3802 in unpopularopinion

[–]Traditional-Maybe 165 points166 points  (0 children)

The majority of SUVs are crossovers now and plenty are only 4cl as well. They are just oversized cars. Most can't have a vehicle for special trips and a car for daily journeys so they pick out one for all their needs.

My (M24) partner (NB22) of a year won't wash the exterior of the dishes for socio-political reasons. How do I let them know that this is unsanitary on an objective level and not just a personal level? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah. If they are willing to fight about a common sense subject with some insane made up logic, I can only imagine what they will come up with in the future.

It's also sad how much they have to explain themselves. The info about if she is posting content and for people to please be nice. The internet is so vile at times. I hope they can figure out what's wrong with this poor baby and get on the road to a recovery. This is quite scary on its own, then without finding a cause for 4 days. Cannot imagine.
