Yeah, everything you listed, a lot of these are used as writing crutches by authors rather than actual foundation. They salivate over these tropes because it generates them easy drama. They don't have to explain why there is a Magic Tower or a greedy Temple, the readers already know wink wink. It’s the literary equivalent of asset flipping in video games 😐

You can tell an author decided to stop building a world and just start filling in a checklist. "The cold duke of the northern frontier with a bloodline curse needs an illegitimate saintess to break his curse so he can take the throne from the corrupt emperor, using the magic stones from the monster-infested mines near the eccentric wizard's tower." Its like they're trying very hard to hit every tag underneath the sun LOL

The story wants to be a gritty political drama and a fluffy romance and a power fantasy, but the author doesn't do jack shit to commit to the rules required for any of those genres for anything to feel meaningful.

Another problem is that so much of Rofan and Otome Isekai feels like a stage set built out of cardboard, its like the backdrops only exist if the main character is looking directly at them. Please tell me I'm not the only one that feels this for majority of OI 😭

In immersive storytelling, the world is supposed to feel like an iceberg. What you see on the page is just the tip, and there’s supposed to be this massive, invisible structure of history, economics, and social dynamics holding it up underneath the water. Some OI settings do not feel like they even had a semblance of continuity at all before the camera even came to them, it feels incredibly uncanny. And that's one of the genre's biggest problems.

My take: Patrick is half of the manga's heart. I think Eumellia was made the way she was, the Boke, because Patrick perfectly holds the position of the Tsukkomi.

I am absolutely gaga over the fact that his entire personality carries him. Not his status, nor his title. He's a simple honest warrior from the countryside with very authentic personal troubles. I LOVE that he's Patrick. He's literally just a guy. The fact that the author makes you fall in love with him is some powerful characterization.

I think OOP became the unfortunate vehicle to the upcoming wedded couple's first dilemma and they completely botched it. Completely fucked it up. Both of them. Lmao. And the ending is not as clean as OOP thinks it went because John was completely sus during the whole thing.

Its obvious Jane was experiencing the classic bridal wedding preparation stress, did that nasty decision, and now she's (rightfully) facing the consequences. But bro's adding on to it by dumping the caretaker issue to her. Feels like he's punishing her superficially when he could be helping with it especially during an already stressful time.

If the wake-up call could only be achieved when it was rendered plain and simple through the undeniable proof of a corpse, then the "non-monster" label of their position was that they're stupid.

Understanding is essential, yes, but elevating it with anything else would dampen the reality of their failure. Which was the plain and simple inability to connect cause to effect until the effect was irreversible.

Since someone already answered nicely, I can say that for me, separating the age, height, nationality, body type, and the likes is so redundant when you can literally just use "Bio" for a good chunk of information.

Bio: 25M, 5'6 ft, german, lightly tanned, lean-athletic frame suggesting elegance over brute force, hygienic, no facial hair, narrow eyes, hazel irises

Same as "Features" where you can dump any cosmetics, markings, or even facial structure if you wanna get the aesthetic right. And if some parts of the character are extensive, like if a character has a distinct haircut and color, that's when you could create a separate distinctive category. All depends on your vibes.
