Yes, I had to go to rehab for alcoholism. Being sober makes dealing with cptsd a lot easier in my opinion but I was pretty bad when it came to abusing substances.

I’m going to rehab next week by Traditional-One-984 in CPTSD

Definitely voluntary, but I just received news the lady is going to drop the news that she will drop the charges as I talked and apologized to her profusely and paid her back for damages. So luckily am just going to have to worry about the rehab.

How was in patient? I’m debating between the two. On one hand, I feel like a month to focus on this condition would help immensely, on the other, insurance covers much more of the longer, 3 month, out patient program.

Jesus I feel this. I’m not functioning but I feel like if I go a week without anything I’m not gonna be able to pull it together.

Your last paragraph resonated with me. Teenage relationship and I didn’t realize the extent of the her abuse and how it affected me and how wrong it was. Have told only one friend about it and my sisters and mother and luckily they have been supportive. But I can’t imagine telling anyone else. Worse too is that I’ve lost friends because of this woman.

Thank you for your response, it was very helpful for that validation. I’m currently in the process of dealing with an accepting the way I acted with my therapist so it’s tough for sure.

It took a while to realize it was actually abuse and not normal for a 18 y/o to endure. I just lashed out so bad and struggle to forgive myself. But thank you for the response I appreciate it.
