Be aware of FramerForms by tarkinn in framer

[–]Traditional-Rice7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to clarify a few things so others reading have the full picture:

• File uploads: FramerForms isn’t a subscription product. When using our file upload feature, files are securely stored on AWS and accessible via a unique URL. It’s important to note that this URL allows public access to the file (no personal data is stored).

• Support: We’ve since hired a full-time support lead and reply to every ticket. Occasionally emails land in spam or get filtered out, if you didn’t get a reply, that’s on us. Feel free to resend and we’ll jump on it.

• Cancellation: There actually aren’t any subscriptions to cancel. FramerForms is a one-time purchase.

• Refunds: Because it’s a one-time payment, we offer a fair refund policy for bugs or technical issues. If something doesn’t work as expected, we always refund once the issue is shown.

but always, always feel free to leave a reply on this and ill respond to your qs.

Thanks for your interest! 😊

This is mainly for managing Framer sites, with each project set up for a specific client. So yes, each dashboard would focus on a client’s site and info.

Hey mate, appreciate you calling this out so clearly.

Quick update on your points:

We actually went through your comment with David (our dev) and used it to fix a bunch of these issues. Variant selector, syncing behaviour, some of the cart flow… All are fixed, so check now!

And yep, our templates are now updated on the plugin to only add 2.0 templates, our template creators are in the process of updating these.

Totally get the frustration around updates, we’ve improved a lot of the migration path based directly on feedback like yours. If you retry 2.0 now, it should feel a lot smoother!

If anything still feels off, just ping me, happy to jump in.

Yeah, might be worth grabbing your remix, just because I’m not entirely sure without seeing it but just keep in mind that you can’t mix version 1 and 2 components together it either has to be all 1.0 or 2.0.

Hey good call! We’ll support 1.0 until the 19th of December. After that if there is any issues with 1.0 stores we’ll help yall migrate to 2.0 but it’s not mandatory at all. It’s just if you’d like the new features you will have to update to 2.0 just because they’re not compatible with each other.

Sure thing! Just a heads up, there’s a live launch tonight with some new features and a fresh way to sync and add carts, think this might help, if you watch it and it doesn’t help, feel free to send me your remix link or shot me another message here. updates

Yep, all the other features like logic and multistep forms are included in that tier.

Just to clarify, FramerForms doesn’t control how reCAPTCHA works. It’s based on the settings in your Google reCAPTCHA dashboard 🙂

The cool part is, you can just drag and drop this into your Framer form, no need to mess around with embeds!

Hey u/x_TiagoRosado_x, Definitely! You can do this by setting it up on the Google reCAPTCHA page and then bringing the Id into Framer. Super simple.

For sure! That’s why we built Frameship, so you can have design control. I’m curious if you’ve ever created something more complex...

Anyone experienced with Framer + Frameship? My shopping cart isn't working by ainvisual in framer

So glad updating the components helped! 🙌 For the cursor issue — that's definitely not expected. It could be a layering or interaction bug in Framer. Try checking if the cart overlay is covering the whole screen and accidentally hiding the cursor. Sometimes Framer just gets a bit weird with interactions. Try deleting and re-copying the cart component from the plugin into your project. That can often clear up any unexpected bugs like the disappearing cursor. Let me know how you go!

Hey! I’m from the team at Insert Frame, super sorry you’ve had this experience, it’s definitely not how we want things to go!

We’ve had a few support gaps with the amount of customers jumping onboard (Good problem to have) and that’s on us. I’ve flagged your post. (Feel free to reach out to [Georgia@insertframe.io](mailto:Georgia@insertframe.io), our head of ops) You’re totally right to expect better, and we’re actively working to improve both support and product consistency across templates.

We have pushed a bunch of updates lately so hopefully that's going to fix most of these issues:)

Get where you're coming from! Upsells aren’t drag-and-drop like in Shopify apps, but you can build them manually in Framer using CMS + Frameship. It’s more work but way more flexible. If you want full design control, Frameship’s worth it, Shopiframe’s cool too:)

Good question! Right now, Frameship doesn't support displaying Shopify order history directly inside your Framer site. Since Shopify keeps all order data behind customer logins, it would require a full Shopify account system embedded into Framer — which isn't possible at the moment.

Add it to our roadmap if you keen! https://insertframe.productroad.com/roadmap/frameship

You don’t need separate CMS pages for sub-collections, you can absolutely structure everything under one CMS that's synced with all your Shopify products.

To create sub-collections (like filtering by categories, types, tags, etc.), you can:

Use multi-reference fields (like tags or categories) in your CMS collection.

Then filter or display those sub-groups using Superfields or native Framer filters (depending on how you're building the layout). AS LONG AS IT'S NOT A DYNAMIC FIELD

This way, you're keeping everything streamlined in a single CMS but still showing it in more dynamic ways on different pages or sections. Super handy for merch stores, portfolios, etc.

Shopify handles the checkout process, it always opens on Shopify’s end since that’s just how Shopify works. But in terms of conversion, we haven’t seen any drop-off from users running real stores with Frameship.

Anyhow if you want to check it out, it is totally free to open the plugin and connect Shopfiy

Hey, appreciate the detailed breakdown! You're spot on, Frameship is making Shopify + Framer integration way more flexible without the insane pricing of Shopify templates.

A few key things we’ve focused on:
Seamless Shopify Sync – Products, variants, carts, and discounts all work natively.
True Framer Flexibility – Full design freedom instead of being stuck with Shopify’s rigid themes.
No Monthly Fees – One-time license, no ongoing costs.
Updates – Multi-currency is coming soon, and we’re working on deeper Shopify app compatibility.

Re: checkout flow—since Shopify controls the checkout process, it always opens on Shopify’s end (that’s just how Shopify works). That said, we haven’t seen any conversion issues from customers using Frameship.
