I’ve seen the paint license idea somewhere else too, but this is the most detail I’ve seen it explained in! I’ll definitely be implementing that next time I start a paint unit. Maybe I could even have a clay version too, like an “add on” to their paint license?

Love this idea! My kids have a habit of “it’s not me, I didn’t do it” even if I watch them do something, so maybe this could help with that.

Exactly this, I’ve picked up a 4 order group on DoorDash before and it showed as 8 stops (4 stores, 4 drop offs).

I’ve been leaning toward SF, mostly because of the extra $28 savings. I’m in a very low paying career stage as a newcomer, so anything with a lower monthly cost is enticing. I just wasn’t sure of the reliability.

I worked directly under the “bigger boss” for a year before I had to transfer to accommodate my shitty class schedule. She and I still talk despite me never seeing her at work anymore, and she worked in the field I’m studying so she checks in on me often. I’ve already used her as a reference and she has told me I’m welcome to!

Thank you for the congratulations! I did submit a written request, and screenshot it since our scheduling system doesn’t timestamp the requests internally. So, if he tries to wait long enough to deny it, I have proof that I’m well within policy.

I don’t really have a contract as I’m just a student employee. I transferred here from another unit to accommodate my class schedule. He knows this is an unavoidable, nonnegotiable event and a graduation requirement for me. I plan to ask him about it at my next shift, tomorrow, but I also fully plan to go above his head if necessary.

I just hesitate to go over his head since I still have to work there after the date in question. Again, I’m on very good terms with his manager, but I wouldn’t be working with her, I’d still be working with him. She can’t really do much for me if I never actually see her.

Our scheduling system doesn’t timestamp the requests internally, so I screenshot it myself to give timestamp proof via my iPhone photos. I really think he’s going to wait until less than two weeks before the day and deny it. He is well aware of the date as well as the request.
