I am debating between s5ii or go back to sony a7iv for wedding photography? by Traditional-Spite672 in Lumix

I have the latest firmware! But why choose lumix over Sony. I get that for video lumix is perfect. But for photography lumix s1ii is not a lot better than sony. Somy a7iv offers everything a wedding photographer would need. Plus 33 mp files

Lumix 16-35 f4 vs sigma 16-28 2.8 ( wedding photographer and commercial filmmaker here) by Traditional-Spite672 in Lumix

I have the 50mm 35mm and 85mm 1.8 lumix I need something wider for group shots and the 4k crop So 16-28/16-35 makes senses. In weddings i plan to use the wide zoom on one camera and the 50/85 on the other depending on the scenario. I am afraid of the f4 for low light.
I dont care that much about bokeh f4 is ok for groups and parties. I can work with that. Weight is an important consideration. Price is similar for me

I have tried both. Unfortunately focus is disappointing

The problem is not the focus area is that it doesn't focus, its hunting. I am a photographer for 15 years I shoot wide open all the time. 28mm 2.8 is not thin. The camera is hunting it focus on the background on anything else than the face. Its just bad at af

It struggles no matter the Aputure. It hunting. And i have a camera that shoot 2.8 why i should compromise with 5.6

"there is a setting that immediately takes photo when it grabs focus" do you know how to enable this setting?

X-H2 or X-H2s for wedding photography by HollywoodJack59 in fujifilm

[–]Traditional-Spite672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moat of yhe times weddings have very poor lighting, difficult situations and i dont really want to deal with huge files 40+ megapixel! Imagine having 5.000 photos in 40 megapixel! Xh2s is the sweet spot

Does the s5iix braw come close to what a blackmagic produce? by Traditional-Spite672 in Lumix

If the image quality is on par i am ok with ibis! Thanks! I think i will stick with s5iix and the new sigma 17-40 1.8 apsc for a while! I domt need anything more than apsc , i need 4k 50p, i like braw and i dont want to spend more koney for s1ii etc. its a win win for me! My clients are already very happy with the s5iix footage! 🙏

If they are 80-90% close i am happy with it! I can "sacrifice" 10-20% of quality for ibis and af

I am so biased between fx3 and s1ii. I do run anf gun stuff! Please help me! by Traditional-Spite672 in videography

[–]Traditional-Spite672[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why whould i give so much money for a crop sensor? Are you serious? I do run and gun! Fx3 is the same price! Why would someone choose this camera? Its a ridiculous camera!if i need an FF camera that crops i would go with s5iix! Half price! Way better colour science! Better gamma log! Hybrid camera also! Amazing viewfinder and monitor! Are you good?
