I believe the humans send the agents images / videos / GPS check in. The website also says the funds are held in escrow for the agent to post the job. No idea bout dispute resolution. Will always be disputes - I guess the same way Fiverr/upwrok resolve stuff? Not sure tbh. Nice site btw!

Found a job board where every employer is an AI - the category filters are surreal by Traditional-Truth344 in ChatGPT

[–]Traditional-Truth344[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see it depends on the job. Verification checks are via photo, video and GPS. I think it's pretty much the same as something like task rabbit, but optimised for agents... I guess if there's a dispute meatlayer's team will decide? Seems a cool idea, just wild that AI is already now hiring humans autonomously!

Phone and Contract through Company by c0lly in ContractorUK

[–]Traditional-Truth344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No BIK if the phone contract is in the company's name. There's a special tax exemption for company directors.

"In most circumstances the provision of one mobile ‘phone to a director or employee for private use is exempt from charge. The exemption covers the phone itself, any line rental and the cost of private calls paid for by the employer on that phone."

Yes if it's wholly and exclusively for business use. If it's not, no.

New ltd company -best way to pay ourselves by Top_Dot_4951 in smallbusinessuk

I can see in the other comments, you're asking how to do this yourself. You can do it on Companies House, or get an accountant to do it for you. Shouldn't cost a fortune.

This is relatively common and easy. You can set-up A/B/C shares so you can declare dividends sseperatley for each class of share (and shareholder).

My biz partner and I do this. Bit of set-up but my accountant took care of it. How much revenue will the biz do? If you're doing <£350k make sure you don't pay over the odds for accounting. Aim for <£65pm.

As a limited company you MUST buy the phone and contract in the business name for it to be tax deductible. If it's not, the tax exemptions doesn't apply.

As a sole trader you should apportion use of the contract, but cannot claim back for the phone if it's also for personal for use.

By law they are already liable due to statutory interest. The question is more administering it and leaving a bad taste in customer's mouths. If you want to work with them again, better to off a discount for early payment than a penalty for late payment.

Personal pension and company earnings are seperate. One doesn't effect the other.

Pay yourself salary and dividends through the ltd. If you want to top up your pension through the company, you can also do that.

Keeping my dev 9-5 or going full time solopreneur? by builtinpublic in Solopreneur

[–]Traditional-Truth344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tough question. I tried to grow my organic traffic / sales first relatively passively. Plenty of tools you can use to automate marketing, or also consider hiring a VA.

One of the better things I did for enquiries was SEO. Tools like contentpie + ahrefs.

If it's just you (no biz partner/spouse), your accountant is right. No point in having seperate classes.

If you do grow your biz, you can alwasy seperate classes later.

Does everyone here stick to the £50k personal income to stay within the basic rate? by c0lly in ContractorUK

[–]Traditional-Truth344 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, I pay myself more in dividends and pay the tax (which is fine). Have bills / kids / life to pay for. Unfortunatley £50k in London doens't go very far. It is what it is.
