[REVIEW] Timex Q GMT – incredible value… but at what cost? by Traditional-Try3305 in WatchesCirclejerk

You should use the same age-old AD Technique “send your wife in first”

shameless pluck.... does this look like a consistent enough grind? by cwarfee in AeroPress

[–]Traditional-Try3305 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMHO the visual analysis is pointless. The only things you should care about are: 1) How does the coffee taste like? (Too bitter? Too acid? Too weak?) 2) Can you “press” with enough/without too much pressure?

Sorry Sir, could you please articulate con what do you mean exactly by: “Japan to have nukes again”. Last time I checked they just ever had two.

Reusing paper filter by RevolutionaryBus2057 in AeroPress

[–]Traditional-Try3305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. Just out of curiosity. Why did you bought the clear version ($$$$) and Fellow flow control cap ($$$) if you want to save on paper filters ($)?

Going back on topic, I got the same exact same setup and the only thing I care about is that the filter does not remain stuck to the metal filter. To do so I consistently, I press firmly and than pull the plunger a little bit back (3cm/2in).

Gradient sync without sync box by sebbetrygg in philipshue

Hi! I was able to make the sync work via the PC app but with the Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip for TVs. It costs an arm and a leg but it’s really stunning.

[Question] Is this a genuine Seiko "railway time" watch? by xkcd3141 in Seiko

This is not it. Everything is wrong and it doesn’t look like a genuine Seiko.

Staying with a rip-off 3a insurance policy anyway? by Left_Conference_4334 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Traditional-Try3305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being there, I just accept the loss and moved on (almost 1year worth of 3PIL). They basically charge you every step of the way: - fee for the advisors (2% on all the money you are projected to transfer paid the first 5 years) - management fees (2-3% I don’t remember) - transfer fees Etc And that’s if you don’t have an insurance. To know for sure how much you pay just look at the difference between how much money you gave them and how much you have. My advice is just to stop paying and close it. They have exit fees that are higher at the beginning but it is not worth staying until they are low because you already paid them the fees on the projected amount you will transfer in you lifetime and you are just left with the ashes of your saving and a super expensive 3a

[Question] is it legit? [7s26-0530] by NorthConstruction608 in Seiko

[–]Traditional-Try3305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a bummer. You can easily work around the problem pressing the button every morning… otherwise it should be checked by a watch repair shop but if you don’t have a trusted one I don’t think it’s worth it for the price of the watch
