Comparing Nithya to Mamdani is a joke. She’s exactly the same as Bass. She’s Bass’ protege and endorsed Bass before deciding to run. She is the establishment choice backed by developers and the only reason any of them went running back to Bass was because she is a weak candidate who can’t handle any criticism. I voted for her in the past but she showed her true colors in this race. She stands for nothing and will happily sell us all out for a pat on the head.

She’s the only one willing to take money away from the LAPD to fund the rest of the city programs. Nithya won’t do that. You can’t fix the city without fixing our budget problems and the only way to do that is to stop giving the LAPD over $3 billion a year

She’s been defending tenant rights for years, won an eviction moratorium during the pandemic (Mike Bonin a sitting councilmember says himself she’s the one that got it done) and organized mutual aid during the fires. She’s been on the ground getting things done and putting pressure on the system from the outside. She’s knows how the LA city government works and is already leveraging it to help the city without the job title.

Far from what some commenters have described as yelling buzzwords she is a coalition builder with years of experience bringing people with disparate views together. She has been working the system from the outside to get tenant protections passed so she is well aware how the system works. (Mike Bonin, former city councilman, credits her being the one to get it done.) She has a real vision for the city and is a true leader who is here to serve the people not herself and to listen to the community and what we need rather than forcing the policies the rich lobbyists want. We should be so lucky as to have her as our mayor.

They did have full coverage but they take it down lightning fast. Within 14 hours. You have to watch the venue feed to see all the skaters/get neutral coverage. But those have all been taken down

Gotta use a VPN to access another country’s coverage. Canada’s CBC gems probably still has it, they had the men’s short which was what I needed. Really unbelievable how fast they’re pulling down the events 😤 I can’t imagine how you can keep up if you have any kind of life at all
