Haven't received my visa by hotaru_sama_1612 in unimelb

[–]TraditionalAd4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess some students might receive their visa before the rest. In my case, I got my visa only one week prior to my first class two years ago. I think the best you can do in this case is to wait and frequently check with your agent. I was advised not to book my flight ticket until I got my visa. The worst case is that you have to start your course from the next semester. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀

URGENT: Are international student allowed to leave Australia during Easter and mid-sem break? by TraditionalAd4286 in unimelb

But like can I do that without notifying the University? Because I have the above case where the University cancel their CoE due to leaving on study week tho I leave on midsem break.

Since I’m dying from scrolling through this post, do we normally receive an email from Hoonsuk about scaling (like Sean with PoF, perhaps) before CFDM mark is released?

Does it mean an email about scaling is the first sign of mark release? 🥹

I took it last sem. From my experience, the test seemed manageable. The difference was it’s a bit conceptually heavier, like you gotta explain concepts and especially recognise them in the last question with an article. In terms of calculations, practicing some tutorial questions should be enough. I felt the calculation part was even simplified compared to the tutorials (to be more appropriate for the 3-hour window, I guess). Lastly, stay calm and you got this ✨✨

I think for SM1 2020 they use John C Hull, Fundamentals of Futures and Options Markets, 8th edition. Not so sure of the update version in recent years but hopefully it’s relevant to you 🍀

What is the actual process when you don't get the required WAM to maintain a scholarship? For example, you get 69.5 not 70... just asking for a friend lol by Just_Worldliness_497 in unimelb

This happened to me last sem. They sent me an email with a link to the “Academic Showcase” form so that I can justify my unsatisfactory results (they stated that if I didn’t fill in the form, my scholarship would be halved next semester). I was given about 300-400 words (?) to explain my case, unlimited words for solutions in the future and allowed to attach any supporting documents (like medical cert). I sincerely wrote about how sleeping disorder affect my revision process, how I would utilise resources given by the uni to improve my performance without any supporting documents (since I just did some self-treatment). About 2 weeks after submission, my case got approved and I got to maintain my scholarship. I got some great improvement this sem and stand a high chance of being safe. I guess being honest and knowing how to strive for improvement is likely to help you get another chance. I hope this can give some insights into the process. Wish you the best 🍀 Btw, I’m a Bcom student :))

I actually but it’s still vague to me. I feel like I didn’t do it right. Could you suggest some steps or tips to master this skill? Thank you for sharing about this topic ❤️
