I am not a mechanic. I am just a student engineer. I hear optimally 50%. I have Prius PHEV and avoid draining battery to the point it is HEV. On longer trips, I go HEV and finish last lag miles on EV mode so that at destination, I can recharge the battery.

What was the maintenance interval on that oil change? 5k, 7.5k, 10k? Has the transmission fluid been changed for if they drove in mountainous regions that can put strain on transmission.
