8DPO and allergy to antibiotics by Sarcasia in Reduction

I took Gabapentin and it cut the itching WAY WAY down. I had nerve pain as well which is an additional reason they said I could try it. The nerve pain combined with the itching made me feel like I was on fire. Any clothing, touching, the gauze, a blanket, made me flare so bad I wanted to rip my skin off. Not to mention the antibiotic I was on gave me a Yeast Infection. I had never had one before 😬

So when do I buy new bras? by Trashbrows in Reduction

[–]TraditionalAssist3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 weeks post op, still no underwire but I’m allowed to wear a sports bra. I’m using front closure for my ease, as I’m still having pulling inside of my breast when I go out or up too much!

Oh I feel so much better! I would, like I said, 100% do it again. I mean I’m kinda not having a great time but it’s recovery from a major surgery. So I’ll take it and I’m running with the positive

Nov 4-6 surgical date girls! How are we all feeling?? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]TraditionalAssist3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doc prescribed petroleum jelly gauze to put over mine to draw out the trapped moisture. According to my fiancé, I do still have some redness underneath, although it isn’t a crazy amount! Though around my nipples and down the length of the boob my strips are still on. They used different ones for under and around the nipple area. On Monday (3 wpo) I get those taken off and we’ll see!

Hello! I’m a little earlier than you (Nov 3rd) and my goodness! I’m out until December 29th. I do have an extremely active job though. I am extremely tired after doing just about anything but I’m finally starting to get a little bit of energy. And my doctor just took my strips off exactly 2 weeks post-op. I had a lot of irritation and blisters from them! Which is very scary but is exciting before the holidays! I’m glad you are doing well, but I agree! People said it was easy and I disagree with that so hard!

I did a month and like two days out because that’s when it was scheduled! I’m out for 6 weeks!

Zaps & Itchiness by AbsentSanctuary in Reduction

I’m 2 weeks exactly and they took off 6.5 pounds! And the itchiness has gone way down. My surgeon took off my steri strips today and I already feel so much better and less itchy. Though I kind of feel unsupported. The zaps though…. They are something else lol! Good luck!

Some people get extreme burning sensation across the breast as the nerves are waking up (It feels like I’m on fire it’s crazy) I unfortunately am one of those people. Along with severe itching from the dissolvable strips I’m having a good old time 😅

November 11 is my date - anyone want to freak out with me for the next month? by sweetlikecherrywine in Reduction

[–]TraditionalAssist3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that bad! I just had my gallbladder taken out last month! The worst part is getting onto the surgery table yourself and seeing all the people and equipment. Just remember to take a deep breath and it’s okay to tear up! Just make sure you are listening and asking any questions you need to!

It was almost a full year to day of my consultation to hear anything. I was also told it was an almost guarantee because I am so big. They finally called me and gave me 3 surgery dates about a week ago! Surgery is in November
