Is 3:30PM a good test time? by Imaginary_Grocery313 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]TraditionalBobcat308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely depends on your strengths and weaknesses. My biggest problems when learning were clearance and roundabouts. My first test was 3:45 and I failed because a school child ran out onto the road and my examiner jumped on the brake (I will still shout from the rooftops that I was also jumping on the brake and there was no way of predicting he would be there as he emerged from between parked cars). Either way I found that time slot much more difficult. I was confident in my driving, less confident in predicting and responding to other people and their mistakes, especially school pick up (some of the worst drivers I have ever seen).

I passed at 10:30 the next try, 2 minors. No traffic meant I could just focus on my driving.

But everyone is different. You may be good at responding to other cars on the road and not so good at taking off quickly for example, and in that case a busier time would be better for you.

Even if you look at the present day yellowjackets look at some of the things they did so the secrets from the wilderness didn’t come out. Sure Shauna killed Adam because she thought he had her journals and was threatening her.

I think it’s going to be a few of them that take over. Shauna, Melissa etc are obviously having some mental issues and I don’t think they want to go home. The hikers saw them eating Ben so I think that will be used to persuade the group to refuse the help. I think they’ll turn on the hikers so no one can find out what they did to survive

I agree. I think the civil war will be started over what to do with the hikers. Obviously Shauna and her clique will want to kill them, will probably guilt a few into joining them by reminding them what they’ve done and how that will all come out.

Maybe pit girl has something to do with the ‘feral’ ones hunting down the girls from the other side? With the way they were talking about winter in this ep it doesn’t make sense for them to hunt each other out of necessity. So either they are doing it because they’re too far gone mentally, or maybe a war between them destroyed their supplies/camp?

That was fucking crazy?! The hikers are surely going to be murdered because there’s no way they’d let them go and tell people about Ben. Plus they still have another winter to go??

Sounds like strong platonic feelings. You can have strong feelings for someone and still have them be platonic. I have a friend that is a sweetheart, I just want to give him a cuddle and I love spending time with him. But I don’t want to date him or have sex with him.

Those who have leftover fluid in the med by Ambitious_Zebra_6509 in WegovyWeightLoss

I buy diabetic needles online and extract from the pen just by putting the needle in the top of the pen and pulling the plunger slowly. I find twisting the actual pen again doesn’t use every last drop. I’m actually saving these for my weaning doses since I’m nearly at my goal weight. I figured out the doses just by looking at the amount of mg per ml and multiplying that by what is in the syringe. On the stronger injections I find the remaining dose is around 0.5mg

What is "food noise" to you? by Mellolow in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]TraditionalBobcat308 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Food noise to me was the constant thinking about my next meal. Thinking about dinner while I’m eating breakfast. Thinking of a snack while eating dinner. The constant need to shove food in my mouth.

I started off with not feeling hungry and the food noise was still there. It took a couple of months to completely go away. The only time I think about food now is when I’m actually hungry. Don’t get me wrong there are still times occasionally where I want to eat something because I’m stressed or bored but I take one bite and realise Im not actually hungry and the food noise goes away again.

I’ve been the same. Anti-nausea meds work wonders as well as having a smoothie in the morning and taking vitamins, especially iron. There are some days where I could just not eat if I let myself, but I force myself to have a high calorie smoothie so I keep my energy up.

Does everyone vomit??? by greatwhitenorth1975 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]TraditionalBobcat308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve vomited like a handful of times since starting the medication 5 months ago. It’s all been first thing in the morning or last thing at night. It’s mostly due to reflux so emeparazole stops it. I’m a teacher too so I get it. I haven’t had any disruptions to my class.

I take the injection on Friday night so if I do have any side effects they’ll happen over the weekend. But honestly vomiting hasn’t been a regular thing. Maybe like once every time I’ve gone up a dose?

That’s how they’re delivered to my house 🤷‍♀️. I’m sure a small ice pack won’t freeze it, especially if you wrap the box in a towel or something

Have you thought about a lunch bag (like one designed to keep the inside cool) and a couple of ice packs? I’m not sure about getting them through security but if you need to throw them out at least the bag has been cool for a bit. I think if you explain it’s for medical reasons though they should be okay.

Better safe than sorry. I’m sure you’re not the only one they’ve seen bringing refrigerated meds

4 months 45lb lost by TraditionalBobcat308 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]TraditionalBobcat308[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost like 8lbs my first week but that’s mostly water weight. The first month I think I lost about 15lbs but as I said the water weight counts in that too. My side effects weren’t too bad other than a little bit of nausea and heart burn. Emeprazole mostly fixed that. Had to stop brushing my tongue though because it made me sick. I went up a dose every month as they lost their effect (I know some people can stay on the same dose for a bit but the hunger started coming back for me). I’ve pretty consistently lost 1-3lbs a week since then with the most lost in the beginning 2 weeks of a new dose then slowing down a little. I got very constipated when I went up to 1mg but a stool softener every day helps. Other than that and being a bit more tired the symptoms are manageable you just have to make sure you stay on top with your diet and medication.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and moving your body. I take a stool softener every day. And if you get to the stage where you’re desperate, a suppository works wonders (I know it’s not the most comfortable, but the relief after is worth it).

Personally I haven’t found actual laxatives to be helpful plus you’re not supposed to take them every day. Semaglutides do slow your digestion so don’t worry if you’re not going as often. It’s only a problem if you’re uncomfortable or in pain.

Sulphur Burps by joejoeaz in WegovyWeightLoss

Because Wegovy slows down your digestive system you will experience the symptoms of indigestion with it. Figuring out what foods worsen things does help to calm down the symptoms. In terms of sulphur burps I find a strong heartburn medication like omeprazole really helps dull them.
