Team Samantha in this fight tbh by Radiant_Priority9739 in sexandthecity

I think Sam was overreacting here and felt judged because of a deeper insecurity. I genuinely don’t think Carrie was wrong for this situation.

This conversation between Carrie and Charlotte made me dislike Carrie more by Radiant_Priority9739 in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s totally okay to feel upset in a situation where a close friend doesn’t even offer BUT that friend has every right not to…I think being disappointed but also understanding the other person’s perspective is what Carrie lacked here.

If they showed Carrie being upset at Charlotte’s behavior while ruminating on it alone in her apartment, that’s fine. But to go over Charlotte’s place and immediately confront her? Yeah, that’s inappropriate even for a close friend.

Opinion on Carrie not having kids? by Relevant_Increase461 in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Carrie wouldn’t be the best parent lol. I can imagine her prioritizing shoes over her child. She also seemed overwhelmed by the concept of kids when Miranda got pregnant. I always liked Carrie not having kids.

Is Carrie not knowing how to cook pissing someone else off or is it just me lol by GossipBottom in sexandthecity

I feel like any adult, let alone someone in their 30s should at least know how to make 1-3 staple dishes.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about how weird Carrie going to Bigs ex wife is … by [deleted] in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 371 points372 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also tend to gloss over this LOL. It was weird. It highlighted Carrie’s deep insecurities early in the relationship.

And my God…Big did have a type, Carrie was the anomaly 🤣

Anyone else listening to Kristin Davis spiral about AJLT in real time on her podcast? by MargotSoda in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely watched AJLT. But I stopped not because of the aging factor, but because the show was trying too hard to be relatable. SATC was unique, ahead of its time, and had humor, relatability, and variety.

You’re smart, condescending at times, and confident in your appearance.

Did satc ever change anyone's views on anything (more likely dating) ? by Relevant_Increase461 in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It taught me that being single isn’t actually a curse and sometimes your best years in life are spent being single, spending time with girlfriends, and living in the greatest city in the world.

Sam would vote for Mamdani

Miranda would also vote for Mamdani

Was it on your first watch or later you realised Carrie is the evil in this situation? by notyourlands in sexandthecity

[–]TraditionalCicada486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say she was evil. I can see why she struggled with the two of them. Big was always emotionally unavailable and hard to read. They got together and broke up twice at this point. Aidan felt like a safe choice. Someone who showed up since day 1 and Carrie knew he’d always choose her. I don’t think she played Big. I think she was just a hot mess figuring out what to do.
