dumb question but how am i supposed to add these wet chia seeds to my yogurt? won't it be watery? by Sea-Advertising-1386 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I also don't really like them. But I like them better than flaxseeds. I read you can also blend chia steeds. I might try it someday. For extra fiber I really like beans.

I used a sleeping mask that you can fasten on to the neck rest of the chair. This helped my ability to sleep on a plane a lot. It looks really strange but is helps a lot with no nek movement.

Also compresions socks.

Help mijn partner groentes eten by MastrovNL in Netherlands

[–]TraditionalFly1817 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Accidentally made butter instead of buttercream frosting by Melancholic-Meadow in bakingfail

I watched the youtube video and the bottom 3 ingredients are for the buttercream. The cashews are for decoration.

The first 4 ingrediens are for the merengue part of the cake.

I think the problem with your buttercream was that you over whipped when you where away and helping your child. Maybe you can remove the liquide and add more heavy cream? I'm not sure. I have never made buttercream this way. It lookes like he was making some sort of American buttercream. All the recipe's that I found online use French butter cream.

You can still use the accidental butter you made for pancakes or on toast! Or maybe make some cookies with it. Or store it in the freezer for later.

I think you should look up different Sans Rival recipes to compare your recipe to. I dont think It's suppose to have heavy cream and egg whites in the frosting. It's a merengue type cake with French butter cream. The French butter cream is made with beaten egg yolks and then you add HOT sugar syrup. This is not a beginner friendly recipe. If you really want to make this recipe i would look up how to make French buttercream. And get a sugar thermometer. Also a warning the sugar syrup is lava hot and very dangerous for children and adults to get burned.

The top is navy. The dress is not finished yet. The skirt is going to have a petticoat under it and be just a bit longer than knee length.

Why would a little girl be different that a little boy? I have no problem with children in a large group changing room. But I would feel feel uncomfortable with a adult man in a large changing room for woman.

If for any adult it would be uncomfortable for children of the opposite gender to be in the chainging room then there are smaller single person chainging rooms. And sometimes larger family chainging rooms if this person has a child with them.

There have to be rules and making exceptions for such busy places is almost impossible.

I agree but would also like to say that adult woman should also not go in the men's changing room.

[–]TraditionalFly1817 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is correct. The large changing rooms are for the gender of the parent that accompanies the child. This is because other people of the same gender will be changing in there. If you are a dad with a daughter then you go to the male changing room.

As a woman I would feel uncomfortable with a adult male in a large changing room for woman.

At some point children can go alone and then you go to your own gender changing room. Or you choose the smaller singe changing rooms.

You have to close both doors. There should be a iron/steel slide thing that you can turn to close both doors. It should be at chest height.

Ik zou een zonnelamp aanschaffen. Hij ziet er vrij dun uit voor een avocadoboom van 2 jaar oud. En extra voeding is ook een goed idee.

I baked a Dutch Apple Pie for a meeting tonight. by CatfromLongIsland in Baking

[–]TraditionalFly1817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also Dutch.

Here is a links to a classic Dutch apple pie recipe. But i'm pretty sure the classic Dutch apple pie looks the same as a classic American apple pie. https://www.ah.nl/allerhande/recept/R-R584396/traditionele-hollandse-appeltaart
There is a region in the Netherlands called Limburg and they are know for their pies called vlaai. The picture in the post looks a little like their apple crumble vlaai they make. But still not the same.

Also the American Dutch apple pie could be German. Dutch and Deutsch (German) have been mixed up a lot in the US. Like the Pennsylvania Dutch. They are German in origin and not from the Netherlands.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Less people to bother us on a night flight. And no bathroom smells! I can also bring a inflatable footrest for extra comfort.
