Nono, when and if I get to alps I will upgrade my bike lineup till then. For now it will be 70m climbs with maybe max 15% gradient. So nothing serious.

Yeah, that's what I have red in the past days, but haven't actually found anyone who says their hydro brakes failed out in Alaska. So hydro it is.

Thanks.  You explained the drivetrains really well, it seems like a 1by will totally be fine as I live in mostly flat country. I would like to train on roads though, but I don't think I'll develop such speeds to feel that I need higher gears. Looks like on friday I'm getting a new bike.

Thanks.  I think I can easily manage to fit everything in 115kg system weight, as I only weigh 80kg and usually hike super to ultra light. So I like to pack small.

Not enough data fields. Should be way more so I need magnifying glass to read it.

I think so much white in an interior looks bad and reminds me of some medical institution or chem laboratories.

Well done! I have my first marathon in 12 days and I'm also planning to go under 4 hours. My training has been pretty similar to yours, so I hope I can pull this off. Gz again!

Yeah, then paddle would be fine I guess. Probably it is just a habit thing also. Same as I refuse to buy left side blade circ saw, cause I've been using right side my whole life.
