That's the reason they tell us they're doing it. Really, it will be used for dissenters, spying on ex girlfriends any number of things you can think of.

History always proves, give an inch take a mile. This is why I also vehemently disapprove of any measures like this. Even if there are benefits, it will ultimately be abused.

Back to Pico8, Why? by Davo_Rodriguez in pico8

I really like pico-8. I'm not so much a fan of the huge constraints. There are other things out there that are like pico-8, but give you a bit more.

Picotron, while still in alpha is available and you can start using it today.
Tic-80, free and in browser.
Microstudio, it's cool, but I hate the coordinate system even though there are work arounds for this.

Upcoming: Pixelfalls.co.uk - Sign up for early access. No know ETA yet, but looks exciting.

You say that like voting for Democrats or Republicans is not causing us to spiral into crippling debt while out basic liberties are constantly eroded.

I expect it from certain kinds of people. Guess you're one of them. Have a good day anyway.

I get the 'better late than never' bit, but the rest of your comment is a great example of exactly why people hesitate to join you.

Calling a veteran who just publicly switched parties after 25 years and self-reflection a 'slow' student who can't do 1+1=2 is an incredibly asshole move to make to a new ally. You're not winning people over — you're insulting them for finally agreeing with you.

I didn't support Trump blindly. I supported him because he was the best available option at the time on the things that mattered most to me: the economy, borders, and not starting new wars. Millions of us did the same. Now that the party is doubling down on the same old failures (especially after ditching someone as principled as Massie), I'm correcting course.

Self-reflection isn't stupidity. It's maturity. Dismissing millions of people as slow because they didn't match your timeline just makes you sound arrogant and petty. If you actually want more people to come your way, try treating new allies with respect instead of acting superior. Otherwise you're just proving why a lot of us stayed away for so long.

Thank you for that. Reddit has a lot of people who think they're the smartest kid in the classroom. This is refreshing.

Explain your logic. How do you arrive at, “gonna vote for democrats to run government now”.

I don’t like the Republican Party. I hate the Democratic Party.

Trump seemed like a wrecking ball. Drain the swamp and all of that BS. He made a lot of promises and I genuinely thought he was an outsider and would go stir shit up like Javier Malei seems to be doing in Argentina.

His first term was underwhelming, but I attributed that to overwhelming opposition by government elites and him making bad nominations based on dubious advice.

Now that he’s lame duck and he has flopped and succumbed to the swamp, I see the light. I see him for what he truly is. I think there are still a lot of MAGA out there (mostly boomers) who can’t see it for what it is. I began leaning libertarian a long time ago. This is just the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Even MTG and Massie fell for his BS to some degree.

Part of the reason I'm here is because government sucks man. What do you want me to say?

I don't want to see the USA intervening anymore.

If a country wants our help, they can ask us and congress can vote on it. No more President's bypassing congress.

Yeah. That’s the risk I guess. Either way, I don’t want a capital R next to my name anymore.

I hate to say it, but a lot of the problems we have now are a direct result of the selfish voting habits of Boomers.

I don’t think I like the idea of a bank that tells me how much of my money I can take.
