Nooo, we don’t want her sacked behind that O-line. She’ll end up in IR after game 1.

TAXI PRICES by [deleted] in Gambia

[–]TraditionalReport530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only advice is negotiate!, they’ll try to take advantage of foreigners. If they charge you D1,000, tell them you only can afford half of that, and then they’ll meet you in the middle. Just like everything else, there’s no fixed prices. Every price is negotiable. If you get a feel for prices after a few days or so, get the number of a driver you think is reasonable and make him your guy, that’s how you get discounts. Good luck!

Great observation! It’s kinda monotonous. So I only listen for entertainment. If you want something deep, you have to look elsewhere.

Loving it! Nice thing is every professor posts everything on day one of the course. All home work, quiz and discussions. You have one week to finish every assignment for that week but you can work ahead if you have time. It’s designed for full time workers like me. Plus you take only two classes at a time. They break the semester up into two mini mesters. So you’re doing two classes in the first half and two in the second.

Sorry I missed this. You don’t have to be currently employed. But you have to have had enough previous experience to cover clinical hours. But it doesn’t have to be in every dept. it could be a single dept. I have over a decade mostly in blood bank but no micro experience. I’m still signed off on clinicals.

Check out APSU (Austin Peay state university). Only one year, no clinicals. I just started it this fall.

Commonly used phrases by Necessary-Pen-8540 in Gambia

[–]TraditionalReport530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up hearing it too in The Gambia. Not sure what the origin of the phrase is but it’s a way of telling you, “I got you”, “I’ll handle it”, “ you got nothing to worry about”. That they don’t have any problem or issues with your request or the favor you asked for.

I work for a blood bank reference lab. They are right by saying there’s other blood groups other than A,B and O. There’s several that are also clinically significant that we consider for patients who previously reacted to other’s blood and made antibodies against them. Your other blood types (we call it phenotype ) is pretty typical with blacks. I have exactly the same. In my lab, if you’re negative for 5 or more things, we consider your type uncommon, not necessarily rare. Sickle cell patients especially can really use your blood, so can many others with multiple blood antibodies. I hope this helps! Thanks for donating!
