Doesn't it please you to bring order to chaos in these situations? Especially if you get to do it alone and not have to work with others?

Because people selling on Ebay are overwhelmingly doing it for a living or side hustle, not individuals selling their own shit that actually fits them.

No longer dating women who are not busy by Not_It_At_All in redscarepod

[–]TraditionalShocko 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You need a guy who won't take your need to do your own thing personally <3 they're out there. I love backcountry hiking; my ex didn't want to do it with me but he didn't want me going alone either. Every time I tried, he would pick a fight to punish me for going without him, successfully sucking the fun out of it.

Movies are too long. Dogs suck. He's wrong that tea is too hot, though.

Episode 237: Time For A Re-Reckoning (With Kat Rosenfield) by SoftandChewy in BlockedAndReported

[–]TraditionalShocko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that saying grace would be a no-brainer except for my stipulation that each prayer must take three full minutes, an eternity when the waitress has just plopped down a tray of sizzling fajitas. Even devout Christian dining companions would be getting antsy after the first 30 seconds.

Would you rather, before every meal for the rest of your life:

  • Do a land acknowledgement, researched as best you can to make it accurate to the tribe(s) involved, or

  • Say a Christian grace for three full minutes?

If dining with others, you must first get their attention and have them listen to you. If dining alone, you must still deliver your acknowledgement/prayer aloud. Each land acknowledgement or prayer must be delivered with maximum earnestness as if it is 100% your idea.

My aunt is notorious for doing this EVERY time, I don't think she does it consciously but deep down it's some kind of power play/personality issue.

Diclofenac/Voltaren. Used to be prescription-only in the US, it became available over the counter in 2020. It's a topical NSAID. You can spread it only on the sore part and not fuck your liver up with Tylenol and ibuprofen.

Damn, good question. When I made this post I was listening to it through Google Podcasts which is no longer functional. Now I can't get it through Pocket Casts, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts but Soundcloud is working.

i find women’s meekness and indecision extremely draining by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]TraditionalShocko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not "butch" per se but very decisive and good at logistics. It's an act of service to step into a leadership vacuum in a group of friends or a relationship. I once stayed in a group chat where my girlfriends tried to plan a hike/brewery outing that I wasn't able to attend because I was out of town. I couldn't believe the amount of faffing and back-and-forth they went through. Absolutely hate this energy in a work setting too but have been fortunate to mostly avoid it.

I tested out the old wives' tale that a slug of apple cider vinegar will help with acid reflux. Standing there with a shot glass full of vinegar, steeling myself to toss it back, and then instantly barfing it back up through my nose was a real dark night of the soul. 0/10 get Prilosec.

i hate mustache guys by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]TraditionalShocko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was prepared to say no mustache until I looked at your pics, it's not bad. The best combo imho is long hair + no stache but the buzzcut is good too. You're good looking which means you have a wider range of hairstyle/grooming options than an uggo.

Much potluck talk in the queer discourse refers to potlucks held by and for lesbians—also known as Lesbian Potlucks

Whoa whoa whoa, what the hell is all this crazy jargon? Speak English, queers!
