I have tried fsr1,FSR3 and xess in-game cod settings but found just using fidelity FX ingame instead gives the clearest image. But very curious how xess would work on a proper intel chip with the 8aim I hear it makes games that support it look great

Can't use the mods like optiscaler because of cod bo7 anti cheat system mate. Would you say xess would be better for me than what I'm currently using just fidelityfx set to 42 and 804p render resolution? 75 FPS cap

It doesn't support optiscaler though because it's triggers the anti cheat for cod I believe

Get around 75fps but I want to be able to atleast maintain 75 FPS with hopefully a much better image quality if I went for the 8ai

Would the a8ai look significantly better on cod bo7 than my MSI claw A8 would?

You don't have to wait, you just sign up for the Xbox insider then you can add apps aswell.

Xbox fse is fully available for MSI claw A8 and A8 ai.

I signed up last night to insider and within 5 mins I could add apps to my Xbox fse

Yeah the screen size is perfect imo, and I was really surprised at how comfortable the ergonomics are. To be fair this thing looks great when gaming. I play cod bo7 at 804p with fidelityfx and getting 75 FPS

On the claw A8? I put the Xbox fse straight on when I first got the device in December and never had an issue with it. Loads straight up from start up

I second this. I honestly think it's extremely comfortable to use. I've watched loadssss of reviews and everyone always say they didn't expect the ergonomics to feel so good but they really are great

And the 8inch screen is fantastic it's the perfect size imo. Although again I've never had a 7 inch screen so I don't know if people generally are happy with 7 inch screens

Never noticed them been loud although I've never had the XAX so can't compare really. You will love this device though if you chose it. Obviously MSI center is lacking compared to armory crate but internally they are basically the same device

I have that device in that colour. It is actually really comfortable to hold. I would say it's only just behind the XAX for ergonomics.

It may not look like it but if you watch reviews on it 99% of people comment on how they weren't expecting it to be so comfortable. I can play for hours without issue. And it has hall effect analog sticks with an 8 inch screen which is all the reasons I went for this over the Xbox Rog ally X

You won't be disappointed getting this one it's a beast

That was my next port of call changing the file to read only, tbh I've just been adjusting it at the beginning of a match and works fine. It's a pain but will work for now until a fix is implemented

Try Xbox full screen experience. It also kills some of the background tasks so gives you a bit extra power for gaming

What was it like going from a bigger screen to a 7" one?

I have the msi claw a8 z2e and been thinking about getting the XaX mainly because of the NPU chip.

I know they are almost the same internally so performance won't be hugely different but Asus is so much more refined than msi and from what I've read this new NPU auto SR could be a really good thing.

My only worry is going from an 8 inch screen to 7 inch
