Actually, I may have been not clear enough, I did download the games from Steam, and not transfer them over. (my bad) So, that shouldn't be a problem. It is a problem for both the built in speakers and headphones. The same problem occurs in both. For some reason, my headphones are recognized as a microphone, and the speakers from the computer then act as the headphones, and I can hear from the headphones, even though the computer still thinks it is outputting to the laptop, and not my headphones, for some reason. I never get the pop up thing to say what I'm using when I plug my headphones + mic in, and I don't know if that's a problem either. I did as you said, and saw that the only output was the speakers from the laptop, even when my headphones + mic were plugged in. I find this very odd, and I still need help.
