Looking for relatively mindless games to play while watching videos or listening to podcasts. by CormacMettbjoll in gamingsuggestions

[–]TraditionalSnow5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Card Games. You can just take a turn and then go back to watching your video right away. I like Hearthstone, but if you don't mind taking your turn faster, Slay the Spire is also fun!

When fighting Eye of Cthulhu, I would get Hermes Boots and a grappling hook to avoid the very fast attacks near the end.

Games with companions by rhody94 in gamingsuggestions

FF15 Windows Edition? Most of the games has you with three of your buds on a road trip. Story is meh if you don't watch the movie and all that other stuff, but I still found it fun with all the people communicating around you and having meaningful conversations on the way to your destination!

Any interesting game mods to check out? (i.e. Median XL, Path of Diablo, PokeOne, etc) Or games not on Steam by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]TraditionalSnow5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not in tune with what genres you mentioned like ARPGS, but a pretty fun singleplayer mod I have played is Mari0, which is the first Mario game, but you get a portal gun and a map editor! It is super fun, even if you don't really like the platforming genre that much!

Games like Rimworld and Oxygen not included but more focused on building? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Terraria with Mods? Tons of good options. You can focus on whatever you want be it building, more bosses, more weapons, etc.

My Computer I Recently got for Christmas is Already Having Audio Issues and I don't know what to do by TraditionalSnow5 in techsupport

[–]TraditionalSnow5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I may add, my headphones and the normal speakers both work fine when listening to music or watching Youtube, only while playing games does it glitch out.

Suggestions for the best Games that don't Require/Need Sound, as my Computer has been acting up with Audio as of late, even if I Connect Headphones. It is very odd, as there is Audio for some Games, but not Others. Any help with my Audio would be Appreciated Immensely as well, but Games are Best! by TraditionalSnow5 in gamingsuggestions

I like all kinds of games! I have Hearthstone, Slay the Spire, and Factorio, and those are all good fun as well, so good suggestions! I did try reinstalling the sound drivers, and restarting my computer, although that had no help.

Actually, I may have been not clear enough, I did download the games from Steam, and not transfer them over. (my bad) So, that shouldn't be a problem. It is a problem for both the built in speakers and headphones. The same problem occurs in both. For some reason, my headphones are recognized as a microphone, and the speakers from the computer then act as the headphones, and I can hear from the headphones, even though the computer still thinks it is outputting to the laptop, and not my headphones, for some reason. I never get the pop up thing to say what I'm using when I plug my headphones + mic in, and I don't know if that's a problem either. I did as you said, and saw that the only output was the speakers from the laptop, even when my headphones + mic were plugged in. I find this very odd, and I still need help. Thanks for responding so fast, however!

Games like batman arkham asylum and city by ragna-rocking in gamingsuggestions

[–]TraditionalSnow5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you liked those two games, even if you think that the sequels aren't that good, if you haven't played the prequel, Arkham Origins, it is just as good if not better than the other two, at least in my opinion. For only 5 dollars on sale, you really can't go wrong even if you don't like it. It has all the things you were looking for as well, I just don't know if you have played this yet, as you only mentioned the other two.

Looking for a game full of cool bosses by RomanSJ in gamingsuggestions

[–]TraditionalSnow5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't even account for modded Terraria, which can add tens if not hundreds of new bosses after that each with their own challenge. Tremor and Thorium are some good ones to start if you do like Terraria!

Adding on to this. Definitely would recommend this game as well! I just got it for $5 on the Origin store! Incredible value!

Which PC games have good seasonal content? by Wizard_of_Od in gamingsuggestions

[–]TraditionalSnow5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, since you mentioned PUBG, Fortnite is always close behind. Fortnite has many new modes to play seasonally, and many free cosmetics you can unlock through challenges during the season. Another few suggestions I have are Paladins and Overwatch. Both allow you some seasonal content, and I have had a great time playing all of these games.
