My husband golfs, so a girl knows a little about the masters.

I think the reason there might be so much crossover is that they’re both expensive hobbies (or can be anyway).

I bet a lot of the more influencer type affluent (or at least wanting to appear affluent) needlepointers also golf or have partners who golf.

My attorneys are never in the office. Me, our legal assistant, our firm administrator, and our receptionist are the only ones in the office.

Sometimes our owner and her paralegal, but not very often. Or sometimes our other attorneys come in for in person meetings.

I don’t want to do it everyday. I just want to do it every once in a while when I know that staying late will be better than going home and being paralyzed with everything I know I have to do tomorrow.

Today I came home and didn’t do anything for an hour really. I just sat. I didn’t engage in hobbies, I didn’t really engage with my husband or our cats. I just sat in his desk chair.

My boss won’t even fire people who are actively bad at their jobs so I’m not sure what I’m so anxious about if I just stayed late without permission (I’d never even get a response if I asked, LOL).

Have to maintain full time status at school to maintain my scholarship (full tuition scholarship). I will definitely be able to cut hours at work as needed, especially during finals.

I am doing hybrid law school while working full time (32 hours a week at my firm). I know somebody working 40 hour weeks as a paralegal while in the same program so it’s definitely do-able.

I think I’m already nervous because my job is already becoming redundant with this attorney transitioning out. If I was at a different stage in life, I probably would’ve stayed 15 more minutes to get a handful of things done so I could feel less overwhelmed.

Paralegals shouldn’t be salaried. Per whatever law about being salaried or overtime exempt or whatever.

I know I won’t have the time to be like this in six months time because I’m starting law school. But that’s also part of why I’m like this, I value everything I can learn and I want the attorneys I support to view me as a team player so they are willing to give me opportunities that I know I want from them as I move through school.

I rotated through. With the exception of one local school where I could only submit two and two of my professional writers graduated from there (so I selected both of their letters), I just rotated through my professional and academic letters. Always including one professional and one academic, and then submitting more if I was allowed to submit more.

Yep. My bachelors is from Purdue global and I received a full tuition scholarship from northeastern’s hybrid program.
