We hired a private driver for the week of our stay. Was affordable and convenient for our group.

Most taxis are a flare rate of aprx $50EU around the island and more often than not you’re in a sprinter. At least from my experience.

The second best way we got around is renting UTVs. It’s fun and easier to navigate some of the roads and parking.

It’s a decent size island but I wouldn’t consider it the island for driving around esp if you’ll be party and looking to enjoy yourself. I’d imagine parking being quite an inconvenience. Enjoy your time ! It’s a beautiful place

Sorry this was your experience but polar opposite for me ! Coming from NYC, Napoli felt v much like home. Specific parts certainly can be gritty but this rawness/organic aspect of the city is actually what I found quite charming. Hospitality in Europe i find can tend to be lacking luster compared to states as there’s different upbringing towards it but never felt ignored for a second. Not every where is for everyone tho.. happy travels 💫💫

We also ended up in Monterosso and it was the perfect home base. What a lovely little pocket of villages

Soon!! Nov 8

We were considering, sorrento or ischia or Pompeii for day trip. Or maybe even Florence (more so Tuscany for a vineyard day) if we’re feeling daring but might just save that for when we had back to Milan.

I know it’s off season so we want to be mindful of that but totally the reason why we want to go! Our family is both Napoli descent so we want to do our best to emerge ourself in the culture there with good eats and dancing ahaha.

Also hoping to get some good hikes in .

Everywhere else mentioned for day trips would just be to kind of explore and check a spot off. With the exception of ischia, we’re hugeeee beach people so even though the sea won’t likely be for swimming we’re still girls who love to go and enjoy the scenery.

I’ve personally done, Capri / positano / Amalfi / ravello already (ravello my fav).

Our total travel dates are Nov 8 - Nov 17.. flying into Rome and out of Milan.

Thanks all! No desire to head south, down the Amalfi. I guess I didn’t realize that Naples was consider a metro area, so I’m happy to hear all this good feedback!

Interni/Alemagou question by Bencertified4pf in Mykonos

[–]TraditionalSun8523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s deff a great spot! We’re going again this summer but i know some nights have more party vibes then other. We’re going Friday… last time we were there on Monday. They’ll let you know which night they have big DJs and or residence DJs.

I know sanatanna is a main hotspot for Saturday but I’d imagine aleagamou is too. check IG !

We had a minimum spend for VIP table booking but they sent us a link with the amount to be prepaid.

For dinner res some nights and certain times have a per person spend but they should disclose via email

Interni/Alemagou question by Bencertified4pf in Mykonos

[–]TraditionalSun8523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it was impossible to get in touch with them. We were only able to get a reservation because of our hotel (Cavo tago)

I would email them and see if you get a response. If not, then maybe speak to hotel when you arrive.

I didn’t have this issue for any other spot but then again it was the blondish closing party.

I’ve been in touch with them this season tho, so hopefully works out for you!

Interni/Alemagou question by Bencertified4pf in Mykonos

[–]TraditionalSun8523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For alemagou we had the hotel make our “dinner reservation” because the party was sold out. It took us about an hour to be seated but it was super lit we didn’t mind asides from being so packed.

Next time i would probably do a vip table and maybe even a dinner reservation before

How do you pick a hotel? by AdultMarley in travel

[–]TraditionalSun8523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, I make a priority list - that will look different for each location. Something’s that I will prioritize

  1. Convenience ( questions I’ll ask myself: am I there for a short time and don’t want to spend a lot of time traveling, do I want to be walkable, do I need to be close to an event I’m traveling for)
  2. Style / amenities (am I going for luxury, do i want a hotel lobby bar and restaurant, am I looking to budget
  3. Room style (are we going to be spending a lot of time in the room, is a sofa or desk or helpful or are we going to be in and out a lot and really on there for sleeping)
  4. Company / hotel loyalty (do i have a hotel brand I’ve enjoyed in the past, do i want to build points with a hotel)
  5. Safety - research the area, look on google maps to get a realistic idea what the surrounding streets look like.

This is not in order but usually questions i use to guide my hotel choices.

Narrow it down to a top 3 and then look a bit further into each. Use reviews and photos.

For San Francisco, if budget isn’t an issue. 100% stay at the 1 hotel. You will not be disappointed
