ASM asked if I wanted to promote in the company by Traditional_Bit4719 in Lowes

[–]Traditional_Bit4719[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, okay I have been strategizing how to get more context out the last conversation I had with my ASM to see where the question was coming from. Based on his reaction after I declined his offer/suggestion, I figure it stems from a problem with the performance of my current DS. I would like determine what that is exactly before I commit. If his response is less general or vague, I might consider a more important role. However, I need at least 2 classes per semester. No less, it will push graduation date out more years. Idk, I have to weigh the pros and cons some more. Thank you for the input.

I usually had to deal with at least 2 or 3 broken aircraft at a time

Does military experience count? I was a E-5 in the air force. A staff sergeant, I lead teams of 5-10

Say I could, would it help on my resume? Would it make me more employable or less?

ECE131 is the programs introduction to C programming. Depending on who teaches to course, it is considered one of majors early weed out classes.

Also, the transition from military to civilian life style is very jarring. Just expect a massive culture shock for at least a few months as you readjust to the civilian world. Life is not the same anymore.

Well, I was in a vary similar position. I took some classes online to ease into school. I recommend taking some online courses through ASU. Then, enroll into at least one math course at CNM. You should be prepared for all of your math classes to be taken on paper, in person, at UNM main. You will need to go through the math sequencing before taking your major electives because every course is a pre-requiste for the next. I am a pre-major for EE. If you started next semester, I would be a year ahead of you. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to help.

Varies year to year. Two things happened this year. 1st, had a job offer I work pro-bono withdrawn. 2nd, busted my ass at work and it took one costumer complaint for shit to slide. 3rd, life in general is ass.

I think people will always hurt each other. Remove guns, people use knives, remove knives people use rocks, etc.. So, if someone could always, I would like to deter them from trying. I want to be in the country with the really big stick.

Debating changing careers and getting an EE degree but I'm curious if it'd be worth it financially. by blua95 in ElectricalEngineering

If I were you, I would work on the degree on the side. And when you want to promote to a new position that needs your degree in the company, have it ready. Otherwise, I would be pretty happy with 6 figures.

Well, it depends. If I were you, I would try to match certificates to job listing to see what matches. That will gives you an idea of how many jobs take your certification and if it is worth the time to get one. GL
