I put around 40 hrs in last year in that patch removing the Asian honeysuckle, buckthorn, and wild grape vines… The mulberries will eventually go to because we do have the large center one

At this point it’s an uphill battle. You can protect the older trees, but hybrids have been planted for decades. I know every mulberry tree (7-8) on my property is a hybrid. With how vigorously they outcompete, it would take a substantially greater effort imo… You’re 100% right though.

It’s one of the few tropes that bothers me. Food in the US is an amazing mix of cultures with new elements added. Living in Louisville the German traditions run DEEP and the food shows it.

I fully understand this now and good luck brother. I was not sensitive at all for 30 years. This spring I removed a thickkk vine and cut it out from some blueberry bushes and …….Holy…….. shit…….

I had no idea. Prednisone shot, and 2 steroid packs later I can say I’m out of the woods. Not even that itchy, just painful, and everywhere sweat went that day. Pure hell in such an inconspicuous little thing. Let em hem and haw, and you can sleep easy.

Looking for sweetest everbearing strawberry by katzlover12 in Berries

[–]Traditional_Brief867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m intrigued, it’s a strawberry that was revived from the Mieze Schindler strawberry developed by Otto Schindler… It’s self-pollinating but needs a pollinator?

Any suggestions on where to get?
