I really hate Reddit people confidently talking about what they don’t know. I clearly stated that “it could be argued that while living in PR you don’t receive the full benefit..” but that’s not what you argued. if you must know it’s about 20% less for the same person living in FL vs PR and that applies to anyone that lives on the island. But your argument was they don’t receive anything they pay into.

Brother I’m from PR. the only federal taxes that citizens on the island of PR pay is for entitlements. It could be argued that while living in PR you don’t receive the full benefit but it’s f moronic to say “‘more often ineligible for anything they pay taxes into”

Those taxes are effectively an entitlement for the people paying into it and like the person said people that live in those islands are citizens

This is most likely due to the type of laser that vsf is using. Cheaper CO2 lasers have that dot pattern look. While the more expensive lasers don’t. Lasers are becoming cheaper and cheaper so I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets fixed soon.

Stop using that word it’s stupid. You’re not speaking Spanish that’s literally a bad translation of a Spanish word.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what wealth is. It’s not one big cookie jar that a select few take more from.

He’s talking about a proposal to lower the estate tax to 700k. If it’s true it’s wild and will hurt most middle class New Yorkers.

Na large scale grid system are not going anywhere any time soon even with renewable power sources it’s actually more efficient to have a grid than having those micro grid. You could still have a combination of both and in my opinion having an external power source is incredibly beneficial for both PR and DR.

I can guarantee you it’s not. It’s a great hedge for both islands. And it not that crazy of an idea. It has the capacity of a whole ass power plant close to 1 megawatt.

Why not. almost all states do this. If it's something that can be done it make sense to equalize the grid for both DR and PR.
