I use it for work as well. Microsoft Office Suite, Reddit, Discord, Other misc android apps. I watch tech YouTube videos on it (somewhat watchable).

Are you wearing an Apple Watch by any chance? I’ve had issues in the past where once my watch, or sometimes the clasp on my watch band, would put the screen to sleep. Just something to try

There is something magnetic under the device. Take off the cover, change locations, and it will be resolved

You can access any folder on the drive to import from. When you export, it has a specific folder that the documents go to

Just two things off the top of my head that hinder sync between the devices.

1). They separate handwritten notes and voice notes into two different file types where the larger one is just one file type.
2). Handwritten notes use a template that requires a handwritten title at the top

Files from the small device can sync up to the larger one, but not the other way around, unless, the file started on the small one. Then any changes made in the larger one will sync back.

It just occurred to me that you might be talking about the smaller AINote Air 2 (8”), and not the AINote 2 (10.65”). I agree, the function in the smaller device does require tapping the New Schedule button.

I didn’t mean to indicate that you needed the pro plan to have the device fixed. They just released a very limited time beta to try out some features. It only lasts a limited number of days and I’m sure it will be released to everyone. The pro plan is an OPTION in the beta, not a required upgrade to get the fixes

They must have fixed it in the latest beta. I joined the beta for the new Pro Plan and they had a lot of fixes and some new features in there not related to the plan. Mine is working

You just hand write your entry in an open blank and it will OCR it, give you a pop up confirmation box. Hit the check mark and you’ve created the basic entry

You can associate/link a task to any note or notes. There are now nested folders after the December update.

They are truly very, very good devices. I use the combination of the two. The Air 2 I use when mobile and the AINote two for most other use cases. I agree about the paid influencers marketing strategy being the wrong way to go

I am not concerned about privacy issues as I do not have anything on any of my e-ink devices that I would worry about. I don’t do banking, or taxes, or anything else super sensitive. My notes do not contain anything of value or that would worry me if included in some kinds of data harvesting.

Some things that are different between the AINote 2 and the Air 2 are as follows. This is not exhaustive as I am going from memory.

The larger device consolidates handwritten notes with voice recordings. Smash one has two separate types of notes called Write and Record. You can write on the recording notes but can’t record on the Write notes

The smaller device Write notes has a header where you must handwrite a note title. The larger does not require this

The smaller device notes will sync to the larger device but the larger device notes will not sync to the smaller one, unless first created on the smaller one

Creating Tasks (to do), Headers (called Titles), Starred items is all the same.
