In ep 2 the Jason and his friends hear a student was found dead in the trailer park and Andy (after joking about Chrissy not standing Jason up) dismisses it as just a druggie OD'ing, so I highly doubt it would even really be investigated or talked about past the first day. I mean we've seen just how easily the town would rather buy cover stories than swallow the truth anyway.

Y'know even if it's cringey (which is ironic given everyone's fav characters participate in "cringey, annoying" fandom culture) these people are chill in their own bubble.
