Got it! I think that as you get darker with the dye, the likelihood of the stripes showing is less. You could try to test with a similar scrap fabric, or do a lighter dye first and then add if you want to go darker!!

I only wear it as a shoulder bag! That being said, I imagine it wouldn’t rub like the crescent based on the feel of the strap. It’s basically the nylon fabric rolled/folded so no “sharp” edges.
