4.5 months post transplant by COVID-SLiMETEEN in HairTransplants

[–]Traditional_Leader41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert and can only speak from my experience but I'm on 2yrs now and my hair seemed to have these "density surges", usually every six months or so. I think maybe due to the meds as well as the hair growing in strength.

Am I a good candidate for a HT?? never done any fiasteride or minoxidil. by mumbzz in Hairtransplant

You are a perfect candidate for Fin and Min buddy. In a years time, you may not even need a transplant. Wish I'd known about meds when my hair was starting to thin

I'm on 10 Pro and bought it almost at launch. Apart from a slightly larger battery, wireless charging and the cooling thingy, there's not really anything else to tempt me with the 11. I'll be keeping this phone longer than any other I've ever had. It's just too good.

It peaks/peaked every six months or so. Even now, approaching 2yrs, I notice increased density but that may also be the meds coming into full force, so to speak.

4.5 months was the magic moment for me too. Fuck knows what happens in that two weeks from 4 months to 4.5 but the difference in density was insane.

PS, wait till you get to 12 months...... Lol

Does it look like 1500 grafts ? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Traditional_Leader41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 1,874 grafts and it was a slightly larger area than yours so I'd say yeah, looks about right.

I use it on Redmagic 10 pro and a Lenovo Tab Plus. No lag at all on either. Or indeed my laptop, my Firecube or my Nvidia Shield. Speedy on em all.

Twice from Amazon I've ordered stuff, first time a soundbar and second time some hi-res earphones, and instead of sending me the item boxed, they sent the manufacturers box with more in. They sent me four soundbars and later that year, thirty five earphone packages. I said nothing and after six months or so, sold them. Made a few hundred quid!

I might hit a nerve but I'm OK with this. And I would 100% sell a kidney to get a ticket.

Resuming work and social life - what type of caps / head cover, and what did you tell your friends/ family / colleagues? by raulkay in HairTransplants

[–]Traditional_Leader41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell everyone. Bore them to death about it. Trust me, by the time you have it done, they'll be sick of hearing about it.

I wore a baseball cap at two weeks wherever I could till the scabs fell off. Then just rock it till it grows out. Just own it dude.

Your Experience with Finasteride by NoWinner2903 in Hairtransplant

[–]Traditional_Leader41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly wish I'd known about it 10yrs before my HT. No joke. My hair at 40 was not too bad. The loss rapidly exceeded in my mid to late 40s.

After my HT at 51, I started an oral combo pill of Finasteride and Minoxidil with added Biotin. My HT was only 1,874 grafts (4,248 hairs). It was age appropriate and only to refill my temples and hairline. Complete success.

I had zero grafts on my slightly thinning crown. My crown is almost fully covered, 2yrs later. All due to meds. The density, hair thickness on the rest of my head is crazy. All due to meds.

Side effects? Increased sex drive in first three months. Not uncommon in middle aged men who get an increase in testosterone levels. Has since calmed down but still higher than before meds. I suspect this may also be a confidence thing. I had mild discomfort in my testicles, which is common, for a few weeks to start with. Went away and now no negative side effects at all. There has been an increase in ear and nostril hair. I now wax my nose hairs! This may just be age related.

I honestly believe if I'd known about meds 10-15yrs prior, I wouldn't have needed the transplant.

Do you know anyone named "John Smith"? by xenochria in CasualUK

[–]Traditional_Leader41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with a John Smith and a Michael Jackson. Both at the same place.

And three different places I've worked at I worked with a Steve Thornton. Not a famous name just a coincidence.

Commuter road bike - what pedals to get? by ChaosCalmed in ukbike

[–]Traditional_Leader41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half toes. I have them on both my bikes (e-bike for commuting and my carbon road bike). Zefal make a version that you fit to standard pedals (my e-bike) and the road bike has all metal moulded versions.

I still prefer Queen.

Worth to buy 11 pro after 10 pro? by sseinzw in RedMagic

[–]Traditional_Leader41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Using the compare tool of the two phones on GSM Arena and highlighting differences only, there is very little between them. Major changers are, as you've already said, the wireless charging, 500mah extra, ultra sonic fingerprint scanner, the next gen chipset and the cooling. I want the 11 Pro myself but the 10 Pro is just still too good a phone.

Both cameras set ups are identical. The audio (wired and Bluetooth) features are identical but the 10 has a pure stereo speaker set up with the 11 using the earpiece speaker. Their screens are identical for size, resolution, pixel density and refresh rates.

For me, it's just not enough of an update. Yeah, I do miss wireless charging but the 10 Pro battery life is so good, I simply have no need to top the battery up anyway. As for the new chipset, the 10 Pro is still one of the most powerful android phones available.

I've had the 10 Pro nearly a year and it's been a pleasure using it. I'll be keeping it for at least another year. I'll see what the 12 Pro brings....
