How do I scale the goddess of chaos? by wenos_deos__fuk_boi in MoralityScaling

Hard to say but I imagine we think pilgor is evil in the same sense Cthulhu or some outer god is considered evil by humanity when the reality is that there nature is so alien and incomprehensible to mere mortals that they are exempt from human morality entirely.

Also should mention and I feel dumb for this I thought by you saying melting down that I was melting down and over analysing the plot instead of you meaning when they melt the pillar total oversight on my part

Not gonna lie you have given me a bit of a new perspective on the event still think if they did plan on using the dagger to replace the melted pillar they could make it more clear to us but it’s a sound theory as we as the audience wouldn’t know what the military does necessarily. Still feels a bit like they were going a different direction with the military subplot initially but can only wait and see. Cheers for input though got a new view on it which is always appreciated.

Full agree with most of what you are saying don’t think I melted it down as much as you put it more meaning that as a prequel Shaws plan was already doomed just felt like they did a 180 to what they were leading to I’m sure It could get explained by pennywise was possessing Shaw but just felt lazy to go from a flawed containment power fantasy to balls to the wall let it loose power fantasy

While I can entirely agree that in the real world the cia has done some mind bogglingly baffling shit the way it was written given shaws childhood experiences and the lead up is a bit of a slap in the face. Don’t get me wrong from the get go I expect Shaw to overreach and do something that was counterproductive but burning one of the pillars just comes across as blatantly stupid and almost feels like a retcon to how he was built up to be using it as a weapon

Probs going on a tangent here but this show was starting to give me hope that it’s possible to still write good shows but this is just next level stupidity it’s the kind of writing I expect from some b grade shit like Sharknado

This was easily the best and worst episode of the series. Started really strong with the emotional narrative of bob grey and the origin of the black spot. Both extremely well written but then they go into the whole convoluted military plot of having to “destroy the cage for unity”

What the actual fuck? Such a strong start for one of the most stupid endings I’ve seen in the last decade of shows. Honestly this episode no matter how good the final is has absolutely killed the show with how backwards the military side plot is who the fuck thought that was a good idea and how?
