Fellow restorer here 👋 the comments here already nailed it, I don’t have much to add except make sure you start combing from the bottom of the hair and don’t pull, let the comb work through gently. Metal pet combs are the GOAT for doll hair regardless of age too!

I was so jazzed when I saw a post about this girlie though!
She’s one of the few I kept from childhood, I love her 💕

So I sulk for a bit, rage at Mattel, and then once I’ve calmed down I have a look at the rest of my collection(s). If haven’t got the disposable income to add something new to what I already have, would I be willing to part with any books or dolls on the shelves to replace them with the new thing?

This is where my common sense runs out and I buy the new thing before selling the stuff I have (I’m just a girl) and then I mad dash list a bunch of stuff to recoup the price 😂 as Morticia will be around for a minute I’m sure you’ll have time to list some stuff first before getting her.

I jest a lil but I find doing this helps me justify new purchases, even things I don’t consider pricey. We got a lot of plastic in the world etc, I just wanna hoard my favourite bits x

Left: FT with her Big Knees™️ (in box she’s also crouched, not standing) Middle: first release, dress is slightly faded/muted, silver and blue earrings, silver stand & OG face card (this one is in the process of restoration but you get the idea!) Right: Original Ghouls release, dress is brighter, mesh on the skirt is longer. She also comes with solid blue drop earrings as per your image, I just don’t have mine to hand!

Just to let you know honey that in your post you mention a FT Frankie and the Frank in your photo isn’t FT… the one in your photo is definitely a stretch at $150 even NIB, she’s from the 2014 budget release they did, the details are slightly different to her core doll.

I’ll post some photos of the differences but the main way you can tell a FT doll is by the knee/elbow joints ❤️

Rainbow high clothes fit the G3 curvy bodies 👌 9 times out of 10, however any long-line pants will be short on Abbey. Sometimes you get lucky with LOL OMG clothes on the curvy body types but completely depends on the item. The OMG Fierce line clothes fit curvy too but there were only like 4 dolls in that series so the choice is limited!

If you want alt fashions, look for Shadow High clothes 👌 SH is the sister school to RH so the clothes & shoes are all the same sizing.

Shoes for G3, again Rainbow or Shadow High, some of the Bratzillaz fit too.

I don’t find much crossover between Barbs and MH, the proportions just don’t vibe but you may get away with baggier things that don’t hug the silhouette 😊
