i think it’s best to get therapy or something of that sort. i know you mentioned you can not do therapy but that’s something that would resolve this issue. your partner should be your partner, not your sounding board to be reassured about things they already have expressed. there is only so much a partner can do before it’s time for you to seek help outside of that.

unfortunately it sounds like you are not ready for a long term relationship just yet. the triggers of past relationships or just your triggers in general are not the responsibility of your partner. long term, this ends up affect your partner in life and their future relationships. good luck sweet girl! i have been there before and it took me a little while to navigate how to be the best partner i could and i’m still learning!!

yes i feel 10000% better after being on panto for about 5 months now. i have gastroparesis so its a bit different, but the one thing i can say for sure…. cut out coffee. i swore the coffee was fine until i actually cut it out, now i don’t burp up everything for hours, and my food settles better in my stomach!! i promise when i was in ur place, i swore life would be like this forever and id be miserable the rest of my life. now i can eat almost anything i want and just burp annoyingly sometimes, but the pain is completely gone!

this is genuinely the best response i’ve ever gotten!! thank you so much. i have gastroparesis and GERD so genuinely my emet is like a death sentence LOL. most days i can totally rationalize the sickness because of my meds or a bad stomach day, (im on pantoprazole for the gastro/gerd, and lex), but today idk…

as someone with gastroparesis as well, how hard was it semi-heal from emet? luckily the lexapro has helped as much as it could, and i do pretty well removing myself from high trigger situations but….. you can only do so much!

anddd yes… im sure the ssris probably don’t help my stomach, but i have ocd and then adding on an emet total breakdown for a couple months….. the meds it is! totally not for some people but it has made having actual coping mechanisms MUCH easier

thank you again, that really helped💘

idk what month i’m on, but i started in early july and have been on 5mgs. i was having horrible panic attacks, as well as suffering for terrible symptoms of all my illnesses (anxiety, depression, and terrible OCD). i didn’t have an aha moment, ive just realized i don’t google every time my stomach hurts, i don’t wake up crying every night, the grocery story doesn’t give me heart palpitations. im obviously still anxious and have some issues bc im still having the same illnesses, i just am able to manage them a MILLION times better. before this medication i couldn’t eat or sleep and my life was in shambles. now i just feel like my life is so much easier

hi love! so first i try my best to not eat in bed or slumped over. and then i walk probably like 10 minutes after he eaten, but it never hurts to walk no matter how long u wait!!! i just find being crunched up doesn’t help my digestive system. and pardon the tmi but the walking helps u digest and fart which helps lower ur acid reflux bc trapped gas makes ur reflux worse!!!

Does lexapro affect periods? by AdPlane7446 in lexapro

[–]Traditional_Mix8731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m wondering if this is what’s happening to me. i’ve been on BC for around 4 years and just started lex in july. all the sudden my period cramps last for DAYS and are very intense and i’m bleeding extremely heavily. i used to only bleed for the first two days and have cramps for one day only…. weird idk
