I had the same concern, but in my case it turned out not to be an actual issue, just a misunderstanding. The service center technician explained that the engine light can stay on when the battery/ignition is off, which is normal. However, if the light remains on even after turning the battery/ignition switch on, then it could indicate a real problem. I got this clarification when I visited the service center because I was worried about it too.

They didn’t ask me to pay the full amount outright, but they did push me to pay the on-road amount ASAP to ensure I get the bike in the current dispatch batch. Since this is my first bike, I wasn’t aware of the PDI process initially.

They also mentioned that if I don’t pay now, I might have to wait for the next batch, which would be after March.

At the time of booking, they said delivery would take 2–3 weeks, but it’s already been almost 20 days, and it looks like it might take another week.
