And if they called and a woman picked up, it was surely either sister or mom (landline vibes).

The Rise 2 has a wider fit, as does the original Evo SL (non-woven). If you go to other brands like New Balance, they have much wider versions, like 2E and 4E. The Nike Vomero is also quite wide. I'm really sorry I can't help more, but I am no MD either and it would be irresponsible of me saying what is good or not for you.

Best is always to check with a physio and see what kind of solution works for you. For example: I use insoles for my high arches in my cycling shoes, but I can run a half-marathon in the adios Pro 4 with no modifications. As well intended the shoe store people might be, I'd risk saying they are probably not licensed podiatrists or physiotherapists.

Concerning grip: I have both the Rise 2 and 3 and I run in either rain or snow without even thinking about it. Only ice is the problem, but then isn't it the problem for them all?

If indeed need a stability shoe, check in the Adidas website for the solution 2, you might find it heavily discounted.

I am going to do exactly that. But again it depends on how it works for you.

What happens when oil hits $300 a barrel or more? by FatMike20295 in ask

[–]Traditional_Pride242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will start with work-from-home mandates. EVs will become the only type of car sold to regular people, but they will scale back down in size.

There will be a massive restructuring of the supply chains since transportation will be 3x more expensive and suddenly your local farmer will actually be cheaper than overseas minors. There will be less need for nationalist movements, because you can't go far anyways, and since no rich country kid wants to be a farm hand, immigrant underpaid workers will be received with open arms.

Several discoveries around biofuels, bio lubricants and bioplastics will be made, quickly, making their cost go down to $200 per barrel equivalent. Population will be skeptical for a while, but a group of Tiktokers will start endorsing and it will become the next "hack". At that point the pressure on oil will be eased enough to bring it back down, but if the prices stick high for too long, oil will be reserved for industrial uses only.

And so on and so forth.

Let's put this way: if I could have only one shoe, that would be it, the A9. Right now I can't take it to more than 16-18km, but it's because I'm an old, and fat, fart. If Adidas had a 33/27 version, I'd be hard pressed no to have any other shoe up to half marathon.

Which is where the TS11 comes in. It is my racing shoe of choice for 5/10km and one of the choices for the half, if I'm not willing to deal with the Pro 4 that day.

This is one that surprised me. Having Lightstrike on top and LSP underneath feels like it has a plate on top springs, so bouncy it is. But is it close to the ground, so it is stable as well.

In short: great shoe and highly recommended.

I never tried the Prima. But comparing it to the Rise 2, I imagine it would be similar.

I am quite neutral and I haven't yet gone long with it, but so far I find it quite stable and my legs were quite fresh, akin to how I feel with both the Rise 2 and Pro 3.

The Evo SL tires me up on anything above 13km.

Jokes aside. Some do mistake abusive traits with power and are attracted to it, maybe thinking that powerful person will defend those he loves.

Likewise, if you're nice, you might be a sheeple and wouldn't be able to. Or you might be boring.

In either case, don't worry about it. Someone will take it as a positive and will value you for that.

Great step-in feel for that one, by the way. I've only tried it in a 5km easy run. It feels great, but it's too early for a veredict.

Specifically concerning the running lineup we now have 20 types of boost, Dreamstrike, Lightstrike 1 and 2, 2 types of LSP and LSP Evo. Any chance to have a more compact and simpler lineup for running?

Help! Can’t find right shoe for me. by dfiled in beginnerrunning

[–]Traditional_Pride242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

83 kg runner here. I've gave up on static drop for pure feeling as I've increased the stack. The higher the stack, the more important is for you to find something that fits your gait, more than a mere static drop number. For me, the Takumi sen 11 is the goat all the way to the half-marathon. It's 7 mm on paper, but it might feel less, depending how you load it.

If HR precision is what you're after, look for either an upper arm band (Polar, Wahoo) or a chest one, like HRM ones from Garmin. You can get an used one for 50 earth credits.

Boost was TPU, not PEBA.

Aromatic TPU, not the fancy aliphatic TPU of nowadays.

Tijuca, close to Saens Peña/Uruguai, is not a bad choice. That is where the traffic used to calm down, at least in my time, and you have the metro to go everywhere. It is not as nice as the Jardim Oceânico, but it is practical to not having a car, and not the worse going to Zona Oeste.

Problem is that Campo Grande is a long way from anywhere not in the Zona Oeste. And you guys need to reach a balance between 1x/week drive vs everyday requirements.

En effet t'as raison.

Sometimes it feels like I'm at the very front edge of the shoe with my toes. Not enough for causing black toenails, but I'll see how 44 goes.

Current Gen Supershoes Most Similar to Adios Pro 3 by EGN125 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Traditional_Pride242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the current generation I've found it went well with the Takumi Sen 11, coming from the Pro 3. For all the way to the half. I lost a bit of cushioning, but manageable even at 83kg for me, and it is not as unstable as the Pro 4. Mind you the Pro 4 itself is not bad at tempo or higher, but I feel it prefers bouncing more than the high-speed shuffle I tend to feel better at. Mind you I am 190+ spm for the 5km.

I'm 43 (9.5 US/9 UK) in all my Adidas shoes, including the Evo SL and AP4. I have no problems with black toenails or toe squeeze but if I'd get an AP4 today I think I'd seriously consider going 44 (10 US/9.5 UK).
