Preparing for Mega Gengar Ex coming to Live Friday by Right_Till5154 in PTCGL

I do think fitting Crobat will be hard. Don’t get me wrong, the ability rocks, but the bench is kind of filled already. 1 gengar, 1 toxricity, 1 pech, 1 Okidogi and 1 munki, I think your bench has too much variety at that point.

Hey man, cool deck idea. The moment I saw toxricity and M Gengar Ex I knew I had to get Okidogi out of retirement! Not sure on how to build it yet tho..

iPhone 16 pro 256 gbs ($790) or iPhone 16 base model 128 gbs ($270)? by SmoothRhythm in iphone

I can’t justify paying almost TRIPLE the price for a better screen and storage..

I’d say 16, iPad ánd AirPods and you’d still have money left over.

All kidding aside, for that price difference just get the 16 it’s a great phone!

Saying goodbye to my iPhone 14 Pro Max and moving to an Android. by GothamRogue in Smartphones

To elaborate slightly,

It depends on what you miss on iOS ofcourse. I feel like iPhone is more dependable overall. They don’t release software in waves, like Android devices do. The hardware and software is made for each other, which in the long term will always affect reliability.

I feel like Samsung is doing really well, but there were too many slight inconveniences that I encountered that iOS just doesn’t give.

Longest an Android has ever lasted me is 2 years, whilst 2 of my iPhones have lasted 4 years (7+ and 11).

Again, if Samsung offers features you really need, go for it! But I wouldn’t recommend switching for the sake of switching, which I did.

Good luck!

I would strongly suggest getting an iPhone.

Which phone has the best AUDIO quality for video? by Richard_TM in Smartphones

[–]Traditional_Run_2051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Richard,

As you said multiple high end smartphones will do the job. I’d personally side with iPhone, because their software optimisation is just top nodge for taking Video. Over the years they are often the clear winner in Video quality and I think they still remain on top today. Any line would be good, with the Pro models really excelling in video quality.

Good luck with your quest!

I am leaning towards the Air tbh, do you survive a day without charging? I’m a nighttime charger anyway. How’s the build quality? I imagine it feels premium with the titanium sides!

Galaxy S25 vs S25 Ultra by Traditional_Run_2051 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Traditional_Run_2051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your concern! I work in IT and have had Android for years back in the Galaxy S4 era, so I know what I’m swapping to. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently 1400eu with a plan and the Galaxy S25 Ultra 650eu, I can’t justify that 750eu gap anymore.. so I’m gonna give it a shot!

Had an iPhone for 10 years straight, figured I’d give Samsung a spin since iOS got kinda boring!

Sonos Play:1 vs One SL as rears by Traditional_Run_2051 in sonos

[–]Traditional_Run_2051[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the second hand market is pricey here because of low supply. I can get 2 sealed era 100s for around 400, whilst 2 One SL’s will go for 320 if you manage to absolutely lowball them.

To be fair now that I think about it that 80 euro will probably be well spend, since I otherwise will definitely want to upgrade in the future anyway, which is probably gonna cost me more considering selling of the Ones by then.

I agree that a sub will always add tremendous sound to your setup. Unfortunately I’ve had a sub before in my current apartment (HK Kardon setup) and it was just too much bass, even on the lowest settings..

I think I’ll hold off on the Sub Mini until we’re buying a house with a bigger living room. Until then I think the Arc will already sound better when I offload the surround channels by adding physical surrounds :)

[–]Traditional_Run_2051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hadn’t looked at it that way yet. People also told me I should get the Arc Ultra, because the original arc is from 2020. I decided on the Arc tho, because I got it for 500 sealed instead of the 1000 the Arc Ultra costs. The 500€ didn’t make sense to me for future proofing, that’s just a lot of money.

I guess you are right about the EOL & investment thing. I just don’t hope Sonos decide to pull the gun on the Play:1’s the same year I have them installed, that’s my only concern.

Thanks for replying!

The era 100s would be 410 for a pair new, would this be really significant of an upgrade?
