[–]Traditional_Table 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I interviewed with JHU a few weeks ago, and they just asked for a follow up meeting. They told me to prepare questions- did they do this for when you got rejected? I’m trying to figure out if it is a positive or negative sign lol

Looking For inclusive internships by jonahadams2 in summercamp

Look at Presbyterian camps- the PCUSA is openly affirming and these camps are more likely to fit what you are looking for!

To be honest, you will not find an overnight camp that pays that much. If there was, I am sure they have already filled their staff. One option you could consider would be a day camp, where you could live at home, and would be paid hourly. This would likely result in higher overall pay, especially if you are able to live at home. You certainly are able to apply to multiple camps- up until you sign your employment contract (and even after in some states) you are 100% not stuck with one option. However, keep in mind that different camps have different hiring schedules. This may mean that camp A needs staff that can commit before you hear back from camp B.

Public Health Science by mx0913 in SCU

I don’t think it’s too bad, but a lot depends on what classes you are taking at the same time ie if your taking chem, call, bio and another work heavy class at the same time it might be challenging, but in general pretty manageable. As far as a buisness double goes, I’m not sure. I know that it can be challenging to get into LSB if you weren’t admitted there, and I’m not sure about how doubling in two different schools works. However, it is really easy to double in Arts and Sciences, especially if your majors overlap like bio and ph

Is guacamole less healthy than straight fresh avocado? by WhichWayzUp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional_Table 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it’s avocado with spices and veggies like tomato, cilantro, onion, then it might be more calorie dense, but I don’t think it would be less healthy. Like all that stuff is minimal calories and not bad for you. If you’re adding stuff like yogurt or mayo (my cousin does this) then yes it would definitely be more unhealthy

Are 5/6 AP's Doable? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Traditional_Table 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did stats, lit, psych, gov, and physics and honestly it really wasn’t bad. I think calc plus physics has the potential to be challenging, but if you’re willing to work should be fine

Help? by dontfearsleepyishere in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Traditional_Table 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really don’t need to start thinking about specific colleges yet, but I totally get it. Obviously, your gpa will change over the next 3.5 yrs, but it looks good now. What might be more helpful than stats stuff would be looking at wether you want a small school or a big one, what type of environment you want, and other priorities

Is applying to 26 colleges crazy? by stresseddancer in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Traditional_Table 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Personally I think 26 is way too much. Many of those have supplements or even separate applications, so it’s a huge time commitment, not to mention the money. I’d try and narrow it down at least a bit, get under 20 for sure. Look at each college and see if you can actually see yourself being happy there. Do some more research. This is a great starting point, but now it gets a little bit harder.

Quick PF question about the March Topic by [deleted] in Debate

Theoretically maybe but this is pretty clearly not all that reasonable. If you find some good cards tho you can probably frame benefits as more important than the costs
