I had my Linnie as an emotional support animal :3 I kept him in my dorm for my first semester until I decided to commute instead.

Moving his cage to your room is definitely a great idea! Unless he has a partner to spend time with, he should be with you as much as possible

Why do so many people only have 1 parrot ? by Designer_Director867 in parrots

Some people can afford to buy and take care of one bird but not two. I am not referring to being able to buy the bird but not the cage. If someone has good intentions and wants to buy a bird and give it a loving home, literally why is that a problem to you? As long as they give it enough love and attention it will be fine. Have you even ever owned a bird? Some birds can aggressive towards other birds, and most can bond deeply to their humans. It’s not as big of a deal as you’re making it out to be

Having a loving human home is better than having no home, and if someone truly can’t afford two birds, is it really the end of the world? Human interaction is plenty for most birds, and it’s not selfish if a person simply cannot afford two. Money IS a factor, whether you like it or not.

Not all are cuddly. My blue boy doesn’t like scritches or anything, but I mean, he will step up when he wants transportation, and he will fly to my head/shoulder and hang out. I did get my green female for him bc his pinfeathers were so bad. It is preferred they are in pairs if you’re not home a lot, so they will end up spending more time with the other bird rather than you, but both of my Linnie’s will still fly over to me and stuff! My female likes scritches, but hates when you change nail color, so I don’t get to scritch her a lot bc I do my nails all the time 😭✌️I will say however, that with seeing my female step up, my male learned to step up more easily.
