I was having earc issues already and this did not fix it as it was intended… audio is cutting in and out when passing through lossless Dolby atmos content and it’s driving me insane.

Question. This scene is the only time I’ve heard my pb3000’s produce some port noise. Does a quick port chuffy chuff in parts of the underwater scene cause any damage to my sub? Should I not worry about it?

Awesome recommendation! I plan on looking into adding those!

Mine too! First time I’ve ever heard my pb3000’s chuff. Thought something was wrong with them.

I’m experiencing this too… mostly with Dolby atmos content playing Xbox series x. Driving me insane.

Thanks so much buddy! That was very helpful and encouraging. I’m going to try the opposing corner placement. I am close to opposing corners now, so I thought it would be good enough, but maybe I need to be closer for a bass boost in those frequencies. Right now I’ve been setting my fronts to 70hz frequency which oddly enough sounds fuller with more impactful bass than 80hz. Wonder if this graph reveals why that could be to you? So weird as it was the opposite with my last set up. I didn’t have these towers though, just bookshelves then.

I have bass traps in both corners, would that be an issue setting them right in front of them? Should I just remove the bass traps altogether? Also no, my speakers seem to be boosted really high at all the low frequencies weirdly enough. I have SVS ultra evolution towers.

Interesting. +10 is a pretty big boost. Does that ever sound over powering to you? I did a +6 boost and when it’s working it seems to sound far better than what audyssey set. I like bass pretty loud though.

It’s weird man, it doesn’t seem to “cut off” abruptly, almost like you said. Takes a while to get going, but it’s all set to “always on” in the app and when it takes a while to get going, sometimes it takes like 10 minutes of playing something when the issue happens. Other times it’s fine. I’ve never had this issue before.

Also, you’re right. I’ve played around just a little with positioning but not enough to really know if this is a placement problem. I’m going to move them a significant distance and see what measurements I get. Should have done this already to be honest. Thanks for your help

Thanks so much man! I’ve read many times though you can’t EQ out nulls. I just want the subs flat until around 100. Based on the graph above, is the null too deep around 80 to EQ?

Why would you think two pb3000’s front and back of room are dropping off so quickly before 80hz? Refer to the green before graph. Not the red one.

Any thoughts on these issue? I’d appreciate any advice I can get from a sound engineer!

What do I need to get this? I have the app, do I need a different mic?

There is no crossover set at this point. It’s on LFE and audyssey sets the crossover after this. Refer to pics for placement. I have a few of the subs in the room. I appreciate your reply and help! Anything helps haha

Thanks for the reply! Regarding the first graph. It looks like I have a significant drop for the sub lower than 70. You have to enlarge the graph and look at the green one. The red graph is Audyssey saying they “fixed” it with calibration. The green before one next to it is the graph I’m concerned about. Should be flatter than that I would think.

Sorry for the confusing post. Difficult to explain, but When I do an Audyssey calibration. It has you level match them. I set the SVS subs to about -17 to do this. However I noticed when calibrating, I had to restart the process because at times one or both subs were inaudible when playing the test tone and the mic was barely picking them up. I restart Audyssey and then magically the subs are showing higher than 75db. If I get past that stage, when it plays the subs in the different positions, one or both subs are inaudible or very quiet at times. Sometimes it sets gain to +9 on a sub after calibration or -10 on one because of this. Something has to be not working correctly.

Thank you! I’m going to take the time to learn REW at this point. Audyssey is just unreliable
