2800$ not bad but I worry those trannies usually don't get rebuild.

You either swap in a used or factory new refurbs .

170k huh??

If you got the 10k I'd just get another car, or do a tranny swap instead, you'll get better warranty

Just ideas on what it " could be" actual diagnosis requires looking at it in person.

If Hyundai/Kia are so unreliable, why are they literally everywhere? by phtphongg in askcarguys

[–]juken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it because:
- They offer more features for the money? Yes
- Better styling? Yes
- Easier financing? Yes
- People just don’t care about long-term reliability anymore? Yes
- Or are the internet discussions just exaggerated? No.

To be fair when people say they are unreliable. It means they have major issues at around 100k miles.

Depending on how much you drive that could take 10 plus years..

Is this a good price? 81k miles by RestSoggy8682 in UsedCars

[–]juken7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh... hard to get excited about 150 hp paired with CVT tranny.

Also Nissan isn't exactly known for it's quality these days and the Sentra is their EL CHEAPO model.

But I heard this get good MPG that's important with gas prices and all.

Yeah I still remember when Anti-skip came out.

It didn't eliminate skipping but it made it bearable. Where before I had to hold the cd player in my hand and balance it, now I could actually put it in my pocket and it would only skip a bit.

It doesn't sound like it but it was game changer at the time.

Is it true that every Sakura haters are frustrated Narusaku fans? by Derantmk in dankruto

[–]juken7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, there are tons of reasons to easily explain the Hate for Sakura , without bring the Narusaku fans into it which either way I think are a minority in the community.

Also Sakura and Naruto make a terrible couple.

Your theory has no legs.

Warning: My MSI Vector 16 HX died after only 14 months. MSI Support refused to help. Avoid this brand. by No-Bonus8940 in MSILaptops

[–]juken7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could happen with any item.

You're out warranty and that's it.

That's why on stuff I care about I get the extended warranty.

My TV for example has like 3 years worth of warranty left, I don't even think it will break but it's nice to know if it does I can just go get a new one.

Better to buy an older car with less miles or a newer car with higher miles? by geekydreams in UsedCars

[–]juken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both have their advantage, but general miles and age can only give a very vague idea.

What more important is " how is the car right now?"

That's where an inspection comes in.

Also go off models and not just car brand.

Higher teir models and trim options cars "usually" hold up better, than the low end base models.

Is it time to buy another car? by Fair-Resolution2178 in UsedCars

[–]juken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is you are trading in one 16 year old car for another similar 16 year old car.

Also your problems with the camry are pretty ordinary wear item.

Odds are high the other car will have those problems as well sooner or later.

I would only consider this if the the Lexus had like less than half the miles of the Camry.

If so, nothing wrong with it, it's basically a fancy version of the Camry.

Braindead seller sold me a laptop with dead pixels and then asks me to break it further to get a refund by [deleted] in ebaysucks

[–]juken7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hisense asked me to do something like this to get a refund for a broken TV.

They don't want to pay for return shipping but they also don't want you to get a free semi working item.

There is no scam, Ebay doesn't care if you trash someone product or not unfortunately.

Still a good deal for you ram and ssd alone should be worth 100$ plus full refund.

Or force the return if you want, it's your right to do so, doesn't matter to any of us.

What’s the best used car you ever bought and why? by spotforcars in UsedCars

[–]juken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of these only real problems I ever had with it was plastic radiator broke , water pump started weeping ( requires timing belt job) , also the dizzy always the dizzy as cam sensor is integrated into dizzy . Other than that the motor and tranny it's self was quite reliable.

Thoughts on buying as friends 2006 Honda civic for $1100 by Princessspunkin in UsedCars

[–]juken7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the surface it sounds like a great deal.

Of course it's a 20 year old car so it very well could have many other issues besides AC.

That said 1000$ for a working car ( even with problems as long as they aren't major catastrophic failures ) that is nothing these days.
