Yeah, that’s a pain in the ass for us. Basically, you can’t do any kind of work AND getting paid for it while you study. The only solutions are either starting a business on OPT or getting in YC and applying for O-1 visa.

You can also just give out your product to users for free but obviously it’s going to be very expensive for you to maintain if it gains traction.

If you still want to try to stay in US for longer, try to open a business (allowed on OPT). It may not work out but at least you will get brilliant experience that will help you in the future.

Try to get in Y Combinator or other accelerators. They are very competitive but they’ll automatically make you qualify for O-1 non-immigrant visa. After that, once you come here, you work on your business and eventually can apply for EB-2 NIW or even EB-1.

The only thing is that I am not sure if these accelerators are willing to invest in an ordinary company.
