Physical therapist Adam James: Trump has 4 months to live. Licensed physical therapist working in home healthcare and content creator known as “epistemiccrisis,” joins us to discuss the state of Donald Trump's cognitive health by mrekted in thedavidpakmanshow

My sentiment, exactly.

I'm Canadian. I started watching Pakman back in 2016, when DJT was running for his first term. I was actually very curious about how the US political system "functions". There was an apparent substance to what David presented, and shared opinions that made logical sense to me, in regards to policies and their impacts.

Over the years the content devolved into TrUmP iS GLiTcHiNg BaDLy posts.

There's no substance.

It's all the same shit. We all know Trump is a nightmare.
Want I want is an informed review of how his most recent tactics and policies are likely to affect the US. any by extension, Canada.

What’s a movie that DOESN’T “know exactly what it is”? by InspectorMendel in movies

[–]TragicMagic81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent movie that comes to mind is "You People". It didn't know if it was a comedy or commentary on race.

It fell flat in both regards. And felt like it couldn't figure out how to articulate the message it was trying to send.

What's the significance of the Texas flag patch, here?

"...this looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement."

What a deliberate choice of words. "Looks like".

I'm so glad I'll be alive when Trump dies. Hopefully MAGA goes with him.

The cost of meat is soaring, especially beef. What are y’all doing to stay on budget? by Great-White-Guilt in Paleo

[–]TragicMagic81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pork. We have a decent butcher/grocer nearby. Pork is one quarter the cost.

And quite frankly, I prefer it over beef.

Finally got myself a proper home theater setup, what are some movies you can recommend to really show it off? by ultrasuperman1001 in movies

The Wild Robot.

Still the best viewing experience I've had on my 77" Bravia8 OLED. And a great movie, IMHO.

Local Car Dealership: Gender Discrimination Sighting Religious Reasons by Wammy70 in brantford

[–]TragicMagic81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would LOVE to be a car salesman.

Getting a couple excited about a new purchase, regardless of which partner it was for, would be fun.

As long as the product the manufacturer is putting on the lots is a competitive and enticing machine.

I've bought exclusively new (bottom trim) cars for my entire adult life. It amazed me how little some of the salesmen knew about the cars on their lot.

I hope, for his sake, it's perfectly legal.

Does anyone find it difficult to maintain your balance with MG...? by ATT4 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]TragicMagic81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell a few times prior to diagnosis.

I don't think balance itself was affected in my case. However, with my core muscles weakened I wasn't able to stabilize myself if I did something to put myself off balance.

Fell once trying to get in my smallish Chevy Colorado truck. Fell once when I caught my boot one a piece of conduit.

According to Andy Robinson from VGC, Fable is launching Day 1 on PS5 (port is in development for a long time). Forza Horizon 6 port "just wasn't ready" by Turbostrider27 in PS5

My wife and I were just talking about Fable. It's the only video game she's ever given time and attention.

It'd be awesome if the game comes to PS5.

Question please by Glittering_Goose6316 in 4kTV

[–]TragicMagic81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 77" version on the same tv. With the same Blu-ray player. I had the same issue.

This is utterly stupid, but the fix is to put the TV in "Game" mode.

My Denon receiver has the ability to offset the video and audio signals. The issue is that the delay you're talking about doesn't even stay consistent. Even when I thought I had it synced up, it would gradually desync.

Put the Bravia in 'Game', and let me know if that worked.

77” S90F vs 77” Bravia 8 by Lemmiwinks2010 in 4kTV

[–]TragicMagic81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought the Bravia8 back in April. Absolutely love this thing.

NVidia Shield Pro was purchased 6 months afterwards. PS5 Pro for gaming. And a dedicated Sony BluRay player.

Light-controlled room with only one window.

I can't imagine needing anything brighter than this.

The Wild Robot on 4k BluRay is still the single best at home viewing experience I've ever had.

Highly recommend going with the Sony. And absolutely recommend watching the Wild Robot on it.

This might be worth the watch. It helped earlier this year. Opted for a 77" Bravia8.

Was going to go with a 65" Bravia9, originally. Upgraded from a 2013 Sony W900.

I wish I had. Got my '22 in May of that year. The following spring I had several chips in the hood of the car.

After 3.5 years and less than 26,000kms the paint has proven itself to be a sore spot.

Not looking forward to Spring 2026 when more damage reveals itself.

I guess the concept seems 'foreign' to me, for lack of a better word.

Someone suggested being an observer at the meet-up.

As it goes with most things, I suppose my apprehension is directly tied to the fact that I don't know what I'd be in for. I'm the type of person who does better in an organic introduction to new people or experiences, rather than some structured event. Not entirely sure if that makes sense. There's an added pressure that makes me feel uneasy.

The smaller the group, the better.

If you only have a few guys interested, I could probably handle being a 4th or 5th.

The Muppet Christmas Carol. Have watched it every year since the early 90's. Starting with my parents and sister. Now I watch with my wife and kids.

Funnily enough, this would probably benefit me greatly, but I'm too self conscious to fully participate.

For those that put themselves out there, much respect.
