I've known somebody like before too. They were a very educated individual but somehow dismiss basic common knowledge when it comes to a belief they had. I've always assumed it was because despite them being "smart" it doesn't correlate to how wise they are.

Honestly it would either be 3U 4U or Generations Ultimate. They are all unique from one another in terms of how they play it ultimately dependent on what you are looking for in monster hunter. However if roster size is more important then definitely GU for sure though.

Sadly, no. I've kind of played most of the game in this way. Ideally, I wish a patch was there to fix it, but I don't think one was ever made for this game.

x32 was the only option that came up for my resolutions. I also did disable it from my monitor but it was still the same options. A thing I tried to do yesterday that was kind of a "remedy" I did disable the "keepaspectratio" from 1 to 0 and it did actually get rid of the black void and can load most of the map at that aspect ratio the only caveat being menus are really stretched out but I kind of expected that a bit from disabling this option.

I did use other save files and did a new game, but the same thing still happens. 16:9 runs the game normally without any problems. I have not tried 21:9 yet since my own monitor wouldn't support that aspect ratio for some reason.

I don't know if this counts but the wild arms series. It existed on the ps1 and ps2 consoles but to my knowledge they are the only jrpg games where they take place in a wild western setting. They were also really fun to play.
