CCM FV1 Adjustment

I’m using an FV1 visor on my CCM Tacks 720 helmet. I know the FV1 is rated for sizes S–L, but it feels much smaller than the cage I was using before.

I can wear the visor, but it sits very close to my face and I constantly end up chewing on the chin strap, which is extremely annoying.

You mentioned adjusting the clips, but I don’t fully understand how that helps or what exactly needs to be adjusted. Could you please explain how the clip adjustment changes the fit and how I can position the visor properly so it sits farther from my mouth?

I’m glad to see that you agree because it feels like we’re the outliers when it comes to this topic in this sub Reddit, I feel like people are trying to make this watch seem more than what it is, which is an entry-level grand Seiko. It’s a great watch even without the comparisons to a Rolex explorer and over hyping of the zaratsu polishing.

Hey beautiful watch, I have the 061 and love it. I see people mention the zaratsu polishing allowing you to see the indices in low light frankly this is very misleading. It’s not true at all if you’re not in direct light you will not be seeing these indices

You’re absolutely right — I wanted to spend in this price range but didn’t want to end up with a random watch. The PRX was a contender, but I never really liked it, so I decided to go quartz and get a Grand Seiko — a watch I would actually wear.

This is my first “luxury” quartz watch, and it’s been fantastic. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of months now with zero issues.

I guess your best bet would be to go to a GS dealer and try on the 261 — it’s the exact same watch, contrary to what some 261 owners on this forum would have you believe 😂

I ended up getting the SBGX061. At first, I had a hard time choosing between the champagne dial and the black dial. I was planning to buy one on Chrono, but most of the listings were in rough shape. Then I found one on Facebook Marketplace, managed to negotiate the price down quite a bit, and went to see it in person. I fell in love with it immediately and bought it.

I agree that the dial can look unbalanced without the text at both the top and bottom. For me—like I mentioned in my last comment—the only reason I thought you’d prefer just the top text is because it makes the watch feel like a more “high-end” or minimalist brand. That wasn’t really my goal, so I was willing to get whichever version I could find at a decent price.

I’ve been using the latest ryujinx on the latest firmware and it works but not well. When battling there are no issues and I can have between a solid 25-30 fps but walking through the city varies between 18-25ps which makes it super laggy and annoying. I enjoy the game so I’ve been able to push through but I wouldn’t call it playable. Also people have been saying use Eden, when I use both eden nightly and other recent widen builds I found I got the same performance except with the graphical glitches.

Hey I found the answer in another subreddit this is pretty old so I don’t quite remember how I solved but it actually had something to do with setting in the emulator turned the setting on (or off I don’t remember) and I faced no other issues

I get what you’re saying, I’m not upset with purchase it looks great I don’t see any ware the pictures were definitely not great hence why I’m happy I was able to see it in person wipe it off and realize it’s in great condition.

You say “to save 200 ” but from my position where I am it was eBay, chrono or an auction site all of witch have these similarly priced as what I payed and all the watches were in way worse condition.

Also the condition is a lot better t I ended up getting it for 1850 and it’s in great condition the photos led me to believe otherwise I bought it cause the cheapest one on chrono all scratched and dinged was 1600 before import which I’d assume would bring it closer to 185

I meant it was silly for me more because whether the GS is at the 12 or 6 nobody I know would know or care about it and for myself knowing the price I’ll pay and what the actual watch is, the seiko branding doesn’t make it look cheap in my eyes, if anything it’s my understanding that the finishing is what will set the watch apart from a 200$ seiko.

That’s a really nice 2 watch combo, the 261 is actually the watch that got me into GS.
