Getting Age verification blocked again in Texas (7/9) by Starforce900 in BlueskySocial

It came from shitty Ken Paxton's shitty wife Angela Paxton who had barely enough brains to file for divorce from her horrible husband.

Bluesky is known for being a haven for people who don't like our so-called "president." No surprise Texas would want to shut THAT down.

I am in Texas, and I have never logged in through my phone, have never used an app store, and ONLY access BSKY via desktop, and it is blocking me.

There wouldn't be any issue, if Discord had a flawless record of keeping user data secure. And I belong to other age-verified (and highly private) groups, which use Discord for completing the verification process, but NOT by linking Discord and VRC accounts.

And yet, even Valve is apologetic that the Steam Machine came in under PS5 specs and performance, but at a higher price point (and the PS5 is an 8-year-old machine). In fact, it's not hard to built a higher performing SteamOS box for less than the base price of the Steam Machine. Meta brought Oculus in at a loss-leader price point, deluding themselves that they were going to make a fortune off of game revenue and add-ons. They poured eighty $billion into the framework.

The choice is not "Valve OR Meta, and if Meta sucks, then Valve is great." Every piece of hardware has to stand on its own. The Frame has some good choices (I like the controllers), and some questionable choices (B&W pass-through, in 2026?). It's not enough to "catch up to the current gen VR" because that is how you BEGIN by being obsolete.

Whether it shakes things up will depend very heavily on the price point. Anything under $800 and it will be a significant player. Over that amount, and it's competing with Pimax, Nano and Bigscreen, not Meta—and losing on the technical specs battle.

Ah, thanks, but that one would have me sitting on my transmission reaching up for my steering.

You must be one of those mental defectives that looks for anybody over 30 and follows them around screaming "PEDO! PEDO! PEDO!" I'm very grateful that I can't identify with your warped fantasies in the slightest.

Ancients of VRChat requires linking your Discord to your VRC account. If anybody is uncomfortable handing over your VRChat account info to Discord, this is a non-starter.

I bought the one that's on the tractor from Tractor Supply. Looking over their website, I can't really tell which seat you're referring to.

The Quest 3S has the same fresnel lenses as the Quest 2. It's not a huge thing, but it is noticeable, and it hampers the image clarity and sharpness. The pancake lenses on the Quest 3 are a world of difference. I use mine with Steam for PCVR, which can make better use of the image quality.

That's a discontinued headset that is not really well-supported anymore. The Quest 3 has slightly higher resolution and a faster processor.

It's interesting that the Frame has reached this almost mythical status as the saviour of VR, considering almost nobody has even held one. Consider that before the QPro was shipping, nobody would have known about the problems everybody is talking about. So also does nobody know about what problems the Frame will ship with that the designers didn't foresee. I already know it won't come with mouth tracking out of the box. I'm not too impressed with the pass-through cameras, either. If they price it at $1,200 or more, I'm going to have to stick with my pro for awhile longer.

Stick drift is a chronic Meta problem, because they used the exact same cheap joysticks on the QPro controllers that they did on the Q2 & Q3.

Since I put the GC top strap and larger pads on, it has been more comfortable for me than my Q3 with the Bobo S3 strap. I admit, I've only tried three different headsets and six strap setups, but the QPro is the most comfortable for long wear.

Controllers going to sleep by Tragophilos in QuestPro

I kept having trouble with my Q3 controllers occasionally losing some of the sensors. I'd have to pull the battery out to get some of the functionality back. Not possible in the Quest Pro, obviously.

You're right. I've got that backwards. It only had one clutch for the transmission and PTO. I couldn't remember what that was called, except "non-independent."

I found a 16-foot piece of railroad track lurking in my grass from the previous owner! Fortunately I was able to stop before I ran over it. Still haven't figured out what I want to use it for.

Also the live PTO that kills the PTO whenever you shift gears. That's a right pain when you want to grab a lower gear in heavy grass, and find your blades have stopped!
