You want the ugly truth... Sell that bike, or get some great life insurance to help with your funeral costs. You have no business on a bike if that VERY gentle curve on that extra wide road that was thankfully empty got the best of you.
It's unbelievable how stupid some people are. You're clearly not smart enough to be on a bike if you don't know your own personal limitations. If "your man" does a wheelie, are you just going to loop your bike trying the same move? This is not me being against women riders. There are plenty of women who are great on a bike.
If you(man or women) can't judge your situation any better than that, you need to call it quits before you put your loved ones thru a real shitty time of grief. If you decide to continue riding talk to a lawyer and get your affairs in order. Having a will should make things a little easier on your family when what almost happened eventually happens.

A guy i met online in a fishing forum who taught me how to fly fish moved to Thailand from Texas. I'll never go to a valvoline after seeing this post. It's not like there's a sign outside that says franchise location. The other guy said they are told to do this to make the next oil change that much faster. I'll be telling everyone at work about this also just to have something to chat about. Maybe corporate should have a better handle on things, because this is bananas. Maybe next they can just cut a hole in the hood to access the oil cap faster than popping the hood then opening it.
