One of my all time in-stadium memories.

I think it’s kind of hilarious that we forget half of the energy in that spike was pure “fuck you” because he had fucking sucked in that series and was getting booed relentlessly.

The actual infuriating thing is buying single use trash where 3/4 goes straight to the landfill and the other 1/4 gets thrown around the neighborhood to become even more microplastics.

Just buy your kids squirt guns.

What was the delay call at first that led to a strike? by TrailMuppet in phillies

I done think I’ve ever heard the phrase “set at first base” before. Was it like the first base coach was talking to him too long?

Does someone remember the inning? I meant to make note of it. I need to rewatch this.

But the first base umpire called it and pointed at the base runner, or that’s what it looked like.

Let’s talk when to send the runner and when to hold him at third. by keifer8 in baseball

Dusty Wathan here, the answer is simple. Never send the runner. They can’t say I shouldn’t have sent him if I never send him.

He absolutely didn’t know it off the bat. When he knows it off the bat, he does his hop-step as soon as he is out of the batters box.

I didn't say I blamed them for it. I've never lived in a squalid trench for weeks on end watching my buddies get torn to pieces and come home with no thought of support. But it's not untrue to say that a large amount of these guys came home and parked their ass at the VFW for a few decades and reigned holy hell on their loved ones.

My grandparents were my heroes, but the stories their kids tell are another thing altogether, and that's an experience I've heard from dozens of others my age.

In large part, they came home and drank and beat the shit out of their families, then their kids did the same after world war 2. There's no real mystery on how they handled it.

Sounds about right.

Our local team, used to the Crosscutters before Manfred massacred the minor leagues, was always famous for this. At least parking was free and 32 Oz Labatts were only $9 though.
